Microsoft has been making waves in the gaming industry lately with new additions to Xbox Game Pass. Earlier today, the company announced 12 new games coming to Xbox Game Pass this December which include heavy-hitting and first-party titles.

Xbox Game Pass subscribers should get ready for the exciting lineup on the Game Pass Core library, featuring day one releases, beloved classics, and enticing new additions! Microsoft is on a roll this month with a comprehensive announcement of everything arriving on Game Pass in December.

New Games Coming to Xbox Game Pass in December

Before this official announcement, the December Xbox Game Pass lineup was leaked by a popular PlayStation Plus insider, billbil-kun who reported the same games.

Microsoft quietly added Remnant: From the Ashes and Remnant 2 to the Xbox/PC Game Pass which surprised the community, but this addition was highly welcomed. These two games are currently available on Xbox Game Pass right now with 10 titles (listed below) will be added in the coming days.

The lineup is headlined by revolutionary Ubisoft’s FPP game: Far Cry 6 and 2015’s action-adventure game: Rise of the Tomb Raider and Goat Simulator 3.

Far Cry 6 (Cloud, Console, and PC)

Far Cry 6, the most recent addition to the renowned franchise, stands as a remarkable achievement in the world of gaming. The game is in a visually appealing open world of Yara, the game effortlessly integrates an immersive narrative, unfolding the captivating ascent of Antón Castillo, expertly brought to life by the talented Giancarlo Esposito. Players will take the role of Dani Rojas, a guerrilla fighter navigating the complexities of a politically charged environment, the game’s dynamic and expansive open-world gameplay ensures an unmatched gaming experience.

The game will make its entry to the Xbox Game Pass on December 14.

Rise of the Tomb Raider (Cloud, Console, and PC)

Rise of the Tomb Raider, an outstanding addition to the beloved franchise, immerses players in an exciting journey alongside the fearless Lara Croft. Launched in 2015, the game seamlessly blends intense action, captivating exploration, and intricate puzzles. As Lara embarks on her quest to discover the hidden city of Kitezh, players encounter a cinematic masterpiece highlighting her transformation into a resilient adventurer. The game’s visually striking landscapes and dynamic gameplay work together to create a fully absorbing experience.

This game will be made available on December 5 on Xbox Game Pass.

Goat Simulator 3 (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S)

Goat Simulator 3 elevates the whimsical mayhem of its predecessors, immersing players in a fantastical realm dominated by goats. As the third installment in this eccentric franchise, the game wholeheartedly embraces sheer absurdity. You will roam through peculiar landscapes, partake in unforeseeable shenanigans, and delight in the comical aftermath of goat-inspired havoc. Featuring offbeat humour and unconventional gameplay, Goat Simulator 3 persistently challenges gaming conventions, underscoring the notion that the most delightful experiences often emerge from the most unexpected origins.

Players will be able to able to download this game on December 7.

The day-one releases on the Game pass include SteamWorld Build and While the Iron’s Hot the first will be available on December 1 while the latter will be available on Dec 5.

The lineup includes the following games alongside the above-mentioned games:

  • Spirit of the North (Cloud, Console, and PC) – December 1
  • Clone Drone in the Danger Zone (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) – December 5
  • World War Z: Aftermath (Cloud, Console, and PC) – December 5
  • Against the Storm (PC) – December 8
  • Tin Hearts (Cloud, Console, and PC) – December 12

Two new games titled, Chivalry 2, and Totally Reliable Delivery Service are being added to the Xbox Game Core library. Both the games are set to debut on December 6.

Microsoft’s addition of such big titles comes at the right time as Sony’s PlayStation Plus December monthly games are being criticised. Microsoft has dropped the renowned Remnant series and now, unveiled Far Cry 6 alongside Rise of the Tomb Rider. It is a great way to end the year for Xbox and this year has gone great for it indeed with the release of Starfield, Ghostwire, Cocoon, Forza Motorsport, and many more titles. However, We also should not forget the coming Game Awards 2023 where you can expect more interesting announcements from the publisher.
