The Xiaomi 13T and 13T Pro have been spotted on multiple benchmarking sites recently. These two devices are highly anticipated by the global markets since Xiaomi has kept its premium Mix Fold 3 device exclusive to China.
Xiaomi 13T and 13T Pro To Get 4 Major Android Updates
The brand has released an official announcement for the update cycle of the Xiaomi 13T Series. Daniel Desjarlais, the Communications Director of Xiaomi, has posted on Twitter stating that the Xiaomi 13T and 13T Pro will receive 4 generations of Android updates, along with 5 years of security patches.
Both the devices are expected to ship with MIUI 14 based on Android 13. This means that the Xiaomi 13T Series will get updates up to Android 17, which will be released in 2027. It will also get security patches up to 2028.
The Xiaomi 13T Series will join the list with the Redmi K60 Ultra, to receive 5 years of updates. Xiaomi also became the third brand after Samsung and the Google Pixel Series to provide updates for up to 5 years, which is quite impressive.
Xiaomi 13T Series: Launch Date and Specifications
The Xiaomi 13T Series will be launched on September 26, in an offline event in Berlin, Germany. This also indicates that the Xiaomi 13T Series will be made available in the European market. The launch event will be live-streamed across official social media handles of Xiaomi, including Twitter and YouTube.
The highlight of the Xiaomi 13T Series is its 144Hz AMOLED display, along with flagship grade Dimensity 8200 Ultra and Dimensity 9200+ processors. Both devices will also feature a triple rear camera setup, powered by Leica lenses. The phones are also expected to support 8K video recording, with OIS support on the primary camera.
Xiaomi has not yet released the exact list of markets for the availability of the Xiaomi 13T Series.
