Update: The upcoming Xiaomi 14 Ultra smartphone was spotted in BIS certification, confirming the device’s debut in India. Xiaomi didn’t launch the vanilla Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Ultra smartphones in India. We recently reported quoting GSMChina that Xiaomi will debut the Xiaomi 14 in India and international markets.

The Xiaomi 14 Pro smartphone will not make its way to the global markets, including India. Xiaomi seems to have a wider plan to debut the Ultra smartphone in the international markets, including India, to take on other flagship devices.

Xiaomi is all set to debut the Xiaomi 14 Ultra smartphone at the end of Q1 of 2024. The upcoming smartphone has made multiple appearances on various certification websites ahead of its debut. In the latest leak, a new report from GSMChina claims that the Xiaomi 14 Ultra smartphone will come in two variants. More importantly, the second variant could sport one truly unique feature– which is an under-screen camera. Let’s take a look at what the latest leak claims regarding the Xiaomi 14 Ultra.

Xiaomi 14 Ultra Will Launch in Two Variants

GSMChina, which is known for accurate reports on features and specifications spotted on Mi Code, reveals that Xiaomi will debut the upcoming Ultra smartphone in two variants. Codenames for the two devics are “aurora” and “aurorapro.”

The aurorapro will be the variant with an under-screen camera (CUP), according to the report. The aurorapro codename has also been spotted on the Xiaomi server with the latest HyperOS build. The latest HyperOS build of the device has version number 24.1.12. The HyperOS build confirms that the phone will debut with HyperOS 14 based on Android 14 out of the box.

No other details regarding the under screen camera have been leaked so far. Meanwhile, the rear camera specifications of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra were earlier leaked by tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo.

The tipster claimed the device will sport a 50MP Sony LYT 900 primary sensor with OIS and variable aperture support. The variable aperture could range between f/1.42 and f/4.0. The smartphone will feature various focal lengths ranging from 0.5x to 5x, according to the leak.

It will get the Sony LYT 900 primary sensor, paired with a 50MP ultra-wide lens, a 50MP telephoto lens, and a 50MP periscope lens. A 5180mAh battery with 90W wired charging and 50W wireless charging will power the smartphone.

Xiaomi 14 Ultra will also sport an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner. The device could also come with satellite connectivity similar to the OPPO Find X7 Ultra and Honor Magic 6 Pro smartphones. Here are the expected specifications of Xiaomi’s upcoming Ultra smartphone.
