Xiaomi launched the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro smartphones in the last week of October 2023. And while the launch of the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro, which will succeed the Xiaomi 14 series is quite far, online leaks about the phones have already started taking place. Digital Chat Station, a well-known tipster, has revealed the display and chipset details of the upcoming Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro smartphones on Weibo in a recent leak.

The tipster reveals through a post on Weibo– the Chinese social networking website– that Xiaomi will continue to equip the vanilla smartphone with a 6.36-inch AMOLED display. The smartphone will also sport a flat display panel similar to its predecessors. The display will have a 1.5K resolution with 2500 x 1200 pixels and an LTPO display with refresh rates between 1 to 120Hz.

The tipster also revealed that the display has a brightness of 1500 nits. Xiaomi is tipped to decrease the display’s power consumption by incorporating the latest technologies. DCS hints that power consumption can be reduced by 15% to 20% with brightness and screen resolution improvements. The upcoming Xiaomi 15 series smartphones will likely ship with CSOT LED panels.

In contrast, the forthcoming Xiaomi 15 Pro smartphone will sport thinner bezels than the Xiaomi 14 Pro smartphone. According to the leak, device will feature bezels of 0.6mm compared to 0.9mm in Xiaomi 14 Pro. Xiaomi is tipped to equip the device with a 2K resolution AMOLED panel similar to its predecessor.

Under the hood, the upcoming 15 and 15 Pro smartphones will feature Qualcomm’s forthcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC. Xiaomi might continue to secure the first position to debut a smartphone with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset as it has done with the current Gen 3 chipset. This year, Xiaomi was the first smartphone brand to launch smartphones with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. The company recently launched the Redmi K70 Pro smartphone with the same chipset. The Chinese smartphone giant is reportedly working on the Xiaomi 14 Ultra smartphone with the same Qualcomm flagship chipset.

Xiaomi is also likely to introduce upgrades in terms of optics. It may equip the Pro variant with optics similar to the upcoming Xiaomi 14 Ultra smartphone.

It will soon launch the vanilla Xiaomi 14 in India. Our team at MySmartPrice recently spotted the device in BIS certification.
