Chinese electronics firm Xiaomi, which leads India’s smartphone market right now, may be working on a device with 120W fast charging in India soon. According to a report from 91Mobile, the phone could either be the Xiaomi 11T Pro smartphone or the Redmi Note 11 Pro+, which the company launched in China just a while back. The report also said that the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ might be rebranded as the Redmi Note 11i Hypercharge in India, making fast charging support the tagline for the phone. The launch date for the device isn’t known right now, but the phone should make it to India in December.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro+ specs and features

Fortunately, we know most of the specs of the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ already, thanks to the launch in China. The device has a 6.67 inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, along with a punch-hole camera on the front. It will also have three cameras on the back, with a 108MP primary camera, 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP depth sensor.

The device also has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and the punch hole camera will use a 16MP sensor. While 120W fast-charging is supported, the phone will be powered by a 4500mAh battery. It will also have support for 5G connectivity, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS and NFS. It also has an USB Type-C port.

On the processor front, the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 920 chipset, though companies sometimes shift chipsets when taking devices across borders. The Redmi Note 11 Pro+ also supports 120Hz refresh rate and has 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM, with 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. Dolby Vision playback for video will also be available, along with a 480Hz touch response rate.

Xiaomi 11T Pro availability

On the other hand, 91Mobile noted that the Xiaomi 11T Pro had also appeared on India’s Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification earlier. It had the model number BM58, and given that the phone is arriving first, it could be the Xiaomi 11T Pro that sports 120W fast charging.
