Xiaomi is gearing up for the Mi Pad 5 launch in China. The new Xiaomi tablet is rumoured to launch in August 2021. Ahead of the launch, the device’s poster has leaked online. It reveals the device’s design. The Xiaomi tablet has very thin bezels on the top and bottom. There is no cutout visible on the display. This means that the front camera could be located on the top bezel. As mentioned above, the tablet is rumoured to sport a 10.95-inch 120Hz LCD.

The tablet also has a dual-camera setup on the back. The rectangular-shaped camera module also makes room for the LED flash. There is no official mention of the camera specs in the leaked render. Rumours suggest that the camera will feature a 20MP primary sensor and a 13MP secondary lens. For videos, it will also include a front shooter. The upcoming Xiaomi tablet will offer an 8,720mAh battery with a dual-cell configuration.

Xiaomi could launch the Mi tablet with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC under the hood. As expected, the tablets will come with MIUI for Pad OS based on Android 11. The tablet-tuned OS will come with  a handheld PC mode along with regular MIUI features.

Xiaomi could also launch some accessories that will support its tablet. A recent listing on the CNIPA revealed details of the Mi stylus and keyboard. As seen in the images, the Mi keyboard accessory has adjustable support, allowing users to change the angle by leaning the display when attached to the keyboard. There is also a cutout at the top portion of the keyboard. This could be for the smart stylus. Furthermore, there is a tiny cutout that will work as a connector to attach the tablet to the keyboard. What are your thoughts on the upcoming Mi Pad 5?
