Note that OneDrive only provides 5GB of free cloud storage with each Microsoft account. Currently, the company is offering a free trial of 100GB storage for a limited time to new users. In contrast, Google provides 15GB of free storage with every Google Account. Both services allow you to purchase additional storage starting with a minimum of 100GB.

Google Drive’s paid storage is priced at Rs 130/month for 100GB. Microsoft’s OneDrive will cost you Rs 149/month for the same 100GB capacity. Both companies also offer additional discounts on purchasing the annual plans.

Users can backup photos, videos, and all types of media files stored in their phone’s gallery to OneDrive. However, Google Photos is still ahead of OneDrive in areas like organizing your images, advanced search features, and more.

As a smartphone user, getting more options to backup the media on your phone is always a good option. If you are already an enterprise user of Microsoft OneDrive, then the new backup feature will definitely help you on your Xiaomi device.
