Xiaomi launched the Mi Pad 5 and the Mi Pad 5 Pro in China last month. Both these tablets feature a 11-inch LCD display and a dual-camera setup. The Xiaomi Pad 5 vanilla variant is powered by Snapdragon 860 SoC, while the Pro model packs Snapdragon 870 chipset. Now it looks like Xiaomi is prepping up for the launch of the Xiaomi Pad 5 in the global market. The reason for this is that the Xiaomi Pad 5 global model has appeared on Geekbench. The Geekbench listing confirms that the Xiaomi Pad 5 global variant will have the similar specifications as that of the Xiaomi Pad 5 China model. It will feature a Snapdragon 860 chipset and 6GB of RAM. On the software side of things, the tablet will run Android 11 out of the box with MIUI 12.5 on top.
Xiaomi Pad 5 Global Launch Imminent
If we have a look at the Geekbench listing, the Xiaomi Pad 5 global model posses the model number as 21051182G. On the Geekbench platform, the Xiaomi Pad 5 has managed to score 781 and 2800 points in the single-core and multi-core tests respectively. The specifications of the Xiaomi Pad 5 global variant will remain the same as that of the Xiaomi Pad 5 Chinese model. This does mean that the tablet will come powered by Snapdragon 860 SoC and it will pack 6GB of RAM. The global Xiaomi Pad 5 version will boot Android 11 out of the box with MIUI 12.5 skin. Now that the Xiaomi Pad 5 global model has appeared on Geekbench, it is evident that Xiaomi is prepping up to introduce its latest tablet lineup in the global market.
To recap, the Xiaomi Pad 5 features a 11-inch IPS LCD display with 2560×1600 pixel resolution. The display panel has a 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, HDR10 support, and a 500 nits brightness. As for the optics purpose, the Xiaomi Pad 5 sports a dual-camera setup which consists of a 13MP primary main camera and a 5MP secondary lens. The selfie department of the tablet is handled by a 5MP camera. A 8,720 mAh battery fuels the Xiaomi Pad 5 which has and 33W fast charging support. The tablet packs 6GB of RAM and is available in 128GB/256GB storage configuration. Connectivity-wise it has Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, and a USB Type-C port.
