Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro Emerges in IMDA Certification: Hints Global Launch is Nearing

Xiaomi launched the Xiaomi 13T series smartphone in September 2023 for the global markets. The Chinese OEM also debuted the Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro, Smart Band 8 and other products along with the Xiaomi 13T smartphones in the international markets. The OEM later launched the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro fitness tracker with the Mi MIX Fold 3 foldable smartphone.

The MIX Fold 3 is the latest foldable smartphone, which debuted with many other Xiaomi products. Xiaomi has a couple of products in the pipeline for the global markets. Earlier today, the Poco F6 and Poco F6 Pro smartphones received Singapore’s IMDA certification. The upcoming Band 8 Pro has been spotted in an international certification authority (via), indicating that the global launch is nearing.

Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro Global Launch and Specifications

The upcoming Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro was spotted in Malaysia’s SIRIM certificating, hinting at an imminent launch. The device has secured the SIRIM certification with the model number M2333B1. The SIRIM certification doesn’t reveal any other specifications of the upcoming Smart Band 8 Pro. The Smart Band 8 Pro was previously spotted in Singapore’s IMDA certification along with the Poco M6 Pro 4G, and Redmi Note 13 4G smartphones.

The IMDA certification labelled the device as a low-power consumption product with Bluetooth connectivity, which hints towards the fitness tracker. To recall, Xiaomi debuted the Smart Band 8 Pro at RMB 399 (approx. Rs 4,600) for the TPU strap variant and RMB 499 (approx. Rs 5,800) for the leather strap variant. Xiaomi equips the fitness tracker with a 2D straight glued tempered glass cover and fiber high-sitting polymer NCVM for the outer case.

The Band 8 Pro features a 1.74-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 336 x 480 pixels. The display has a pixel density of 336 PPI and a peak brightness of 600 nits. The company claims that the watch has support for over 100 watch faces. The fitness tracker has a dimension of 46 × 33.35 × 9.99mm and weighs 22.5 grams. The tracker features Bluetooth 5.3 protocol, GNSS, and NFC for connectivity.

Xiaomi equips the tracker with acceleration, gyroscope, optical heart rate and, blood oxygen sensor and ambient light sensors. The company claims that the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro can track heart rate, continuous blood oxygen saturation monitoring, 24/7 sleep tracking, female health tracking and more. The Band 8 Pro also features support for monitoring over 150 sports activities.

The fitness tracker is backed by a 289mAh battery, which can be charged from 0 to 100 in 80 minutes of fast charging. The company claims the watch can last up to 14 days on a single charge in regular usage. The Band 8 Pro fitness tracker features 5ATM water resistance, which makes it suitable for outdoor activities. Other tracker features include support for reminders, alerts, Xiaomi assistant, call alerts and more. The fitness tracker also supports the Mi Fitness app to control the tracker.
