
Xiaomi has announced three new smart TVs today in India along with the launch of the Xiaomi 12 Pro flagship smartphone and Xiaomi Pad 5 Android tablet. The company has unveiled the Xiaomi Smart TV 5A series smart TVs as the successor to the last year’s Smart TV 4A series. The company said it has sold over 7 million smart TVs in India to date.
The new Smart TV 5A comes in three screen sizes from 32-inch HD TV to a 43-inch Full HD TV. The trio comes with improved design, improved hardware, and all the smart TVs run on Android TV 11 OS out of the box. Let’s take a look at the Xiaomi Smart TV 5A in detail.

Xiaomi Smart TV 5A Series: Price and Availability
The Xiaomi Smart TV 5A 32-inch is priced at Rs 15,499, the 40-inch model costs Rs 22,999 and the 43-inch model will be available for Rs 25,999. All three smart TVs will go on sale from April 30 on Flipkart, Mi.com, and Mi stores across India. You can avail of Rs 2,000 additional on your HDFC bank credit card.
Xiaomi Smart TV 5A Series: Features and Specifications
Xiaomi Smart TV 5A comes in three screen sizes 32-inch, 40-inch, and 43-inch. The 32-inch model comes with an HD resolution and the 40-inch and 43-inch Smart TVs come with Full HD resolution. All three smart TVs come with Xiaomi’s proprietary Vivid Picture Engine image-processing tech, which will enhance the colours and contrast to offer a better viewing experience. In terms of build and design, the new Xiaomi Smart TV 5A series is said to be sturdier despite having slim bezels.
Further, as for the audio, the 40-inch and 43-inch TVs come with a 24W speaker setup, which is an upgrade from a 4W speaker on the 4A series. The 32-inch model comes with a 20W speaker. All smart TVs come with support for Dolby audio, DTS-X, and DTS-X Virtual 一 these combinations are first in the segment. The TVs also come with granular audio controls as well.
The Xiaomi Smart TV 5A series comes with Android TV 11 out of the box with Xiaomi’s Patchwall UI on top. Xiaomi has patterned with 40 content apps to show recommendations for movies and shows. The first row will be for recommendations and the TVs also come with IPL 2022 widget. The third row is dedicated to Netflix, all of which are machine learning-based recommendations.
The UI allows you to set language preferences and recommend movies and shows based on your preferred language. Xiaomi is adding a new Sports tab, which is powered by Sony LIV. Patchwall only recommends movies and shows which has over 7.5 ratings. Other features include kids mode, universal search, and horizontal scroll. Since the TVs are powered by Google’s OS, you get support for Google Assistant, Chromecast, Google Play Store and Play services.
In terms of hardware, the 40-inch and 43-inch smart TVs come with 1.5GB RAM, 8GB storage, and quad-core A55 CPU, while the affordable 32-inch model comes with 1GB RAM, 8GB storage, and quad-core A35 CPU. Other features of the device include Bluetooth 5.0 provides better support for TWS, dual-band Wi-Fi support, an ethernet port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
