The smartphone's hardware relies on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC coupled with 4GB RAM for a good performance. Adreno 610 GPU is used to sort out graphical intensive tasks in the smartphone. The iQOO Z6 4G offers 128GB of internal storage with an option for expandable storage of up to 1TB using a dedicated memory slot. The security features included in the smartphone are a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a face unlock that works via a selfie camera.

A water-drop notch design is on the top center of the screen and offers a 20:9 aspect ratio screen. The resolution is 1080x2400 pixels, and the pixel density is 400 pixels per inch (PPI). The mobile sports a 6.44-inch IPS LCD screen. The iQOO Z6 4G flaunts a triple camera setup that comprises a 50MP primary lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth lens.
