The OnePlus 7 GB RAM comes with a decently sized Optic AMOLED panel with a waterdrop-style notch at the top. This panel boasts of Full HD+ resolution and is in the now common 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The OnePlus 7 8GB RAM also gets an in-display fingerprint scanner for security and comes with a layer of Gorilla Glass for added durability. Powering this handset is the Snapdragon 855 chipset from Qualcomm which is based on a 7nm manufacturing process. The handset also uses the Adreno 640 GPU for graphics. The OnePlus 7 8GB RAM version comes with 256GB of storage space with no option to augment the memory further using microSD cards.

The OnePlus 7 8GB RAM runs Android 9 Pie at launch and will soon be updateable to Android 10 Pie. Like all OnePlus devices, this handset also gets their tried and tested OxygenOS platform which is considered one of the better Android skins currently available. Under its thin aluminum shell, the OnePlus 7 8GB RAM comes with a failty large 3,700mAh battery with support for 20W fast charging. The handset uses the USB 3.1 GEN 1 standard for data transfer and charging using a USB Type-C port. As the case is with other OnePlus devices, the OnePlus 7 8GB RAM supports dual SIM cards.

The OnePlus 7 8GB RAM comes with a dual-camera setup at the rear consisting of a 48-megapixel primary camera with f/1.7 aperture and support for PDAF, and a secondary 5-megapixel camera that acts as a depth sensor. The primary camera uses Sony’s IMX 586 sensor. At the front, the handset gets a 16-megapixel single camera with f/2.0 aperture using a Sony IMX 471 sensor. The rear camera supports several modes that range from UltraShot, Nightscape, Studio Lighting, and Portrait to Pro Mode, Panorama, HDR, AI Scene Detection, and RAW Image. The handset also comes with a handy Night mode for low light imaging.
