Pros

The Realme 5 Pro has a stylish design with a diamond-cut pattern and water splash resistance. The front and rear-facing imaging setups are excellent. The phone's display is good and the fingerprint reader is fast. There's no compromise when it comes to performance, thanks to Snapdragon 712 SoC. There's a triple card slot (microSD card + nano SIM card + nano SIM card), too. The phone's long-lasting, 4000mAh battery is compatible with 20W VOOC charging (and a fast charger comes inside the box). The Android 10 is coming to the phone, sometime in 2020.

Cons

ColorOS needs design and behavioral improvements to match Samsung and Xiaomi. The ultrawide camera needs some work and the 2MP macro camera is kind of useless.

Verdict

The Realme 5 Pro is the contender for the best smartphone in the sub-Rs 15,000 price category in 2020. It has a stylish design with water splash resistance, a good quality bezel-less screen, an excellent set of cameras, fast performance, and long-lasting battery life. It even has a triple card slot and an in-box 20W fast charger. Want Android 10? The Realme 5 Pro will receive it as a software update in 2020. The only thing where Xiaomi phones are better than the Realme 5 Pro is in terms of software and UI design, although ColorOS doesnâ€™t throw as many ads as MIUI.
