Introduction & Design
The Samsung Galaxy J7 is a larger variant of the mid-range Samsung Galaxy J5. The device sports a similar form factor as the J5, but comes with an upgraded processor and a bigger screen while keeping the rest of the specs unchanged. The device has all plastic build. It measures 152.2 x 78.7 x 7.5mm and weighs 171 grams. The J7 is available in the same colour options as the J5, Black and White.
Display and Camera
The smartphone comes with a 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display with HD (1280x720 pixels) resolution which translates to 267 PPI, which is not bad but also not class-leading. Though the display size has been upgraded, the resolution hasn’t been made full HD and hence has a lesser pixel density than the Galaxy J5. This could mean lower display quality in this device. The main disadvantage though is the device is missing any kind of protection to the display. The device features a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash and autofocus to ensure you capture the perfect shot in every lighting condition. The camera can capture videos in full-HD resolution at 30fps. The image quality is good in daylight, and average during low-light conditions. On the front of the device is a 5-megapixel secondary camera which can be used to make video calls and capture selfies. Many selfie enhancing features like beauty shot and wide selfie, etc have been included.
Software & Performance
The phone comes with Android 5.1 Lollipop which is upgradable to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. The software is customised by Samsung’s own TouchWiz UI. At the heart of the device is a very rare Marvel PXA1936 chipset which comes with an octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. The processor is paired with 1.5GB of RAM to ensure smooth multi-tasking performance. On the storage front, the device comes with 16GB of storage space which should be more than enough for most users. However if you are looking to expand further, a microSD card can be used to expand the memory up to 128 GB.
Battery & Connectivity
The device conceals a 3,000mAh battery which has enough juice to keep it running throughout the day with moderate to heavy usage. The device is rated to provide 18 hours of talk time on 3G network according to Samsung. The Samsung Galaxy J7 comes with a wide variety of connectivity options allowing the phone to be always connected at blazing fast speeds. It is a 4G LTE enabled smartphone and has Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, mircoUSB 2.0 and Bluetooth 4.0.  Also, the device has dual SIM functionality with dual stand-by which is essential for indian consumers.

How to insert a microSD card in this mobile?
To insert microSD card in the phone, you need to open the back cover of the phone. Once the back cover is open, remove the battery. Right above the battery, there will be SIM card slots and the memory card slot. The slot on the right side is the microSD card slot.

Open the back cover of the mobile phone. Identify the slot given for the micro SD card as indicated near the SIM card attachment slot then insert the microSD card as per directed in the slot. Then close the mobile backside by the back cover.

Remove the back panel, and at the top right side, you will see three slots, two for SIM and one for microSD card. At the right side, in the upper slot, you have to insert the microSD card.

On top of the SIM 1. First, insert SIM to slot 1, then another space is available on top of the SIM 1. You can insert the microSD card there.

Which is the best mobile in Samsung company?
It depends on what you are looking for in a phone. If you are looking for a mid-range phone with good specs, then go for J7 Max. If you want the best of the phone from Samsung, then you have only one way to go, i.e., Samsung Galaxy Note 8.
By manishkaul222, 9 months ago
Mark Helpful (149)
It depends on your price range. If you want a budget phone under 15k, you can go for J7 Prime, C7 under 30k, A8 Plus under 40k, S8 Plus under 60k and Note 8 under 70k.

As per the budget segment, Samsung Galaxy Prime is the best, or you can also move towards On7 Max or Pro.

Which one is better between Samsung J7 2015 and On7 Pro?
Hi, Samsung Galaxy J7 2015 is a very good phone but Samsung Galaxy On 7 Pro comes with some great features. However, both the phones have the same camera but the sensor quality of Samsung Galaxy J7 2015 is much better. So, I think you should buy On 7 Pro.
By 007yashrajkaithwas, 13 months ago

You should go with J7 because it has a super-AMOLED screen which is much better than TFT screen used on On7 Pro. You can also buy On8; it also has Full HD super-AMOLED screen, and its price is more or less same as J7.

Both are not better. The Mi phone is much better at a low price with the best battery and good looks. On the other hand, Samsung's performance is still slow.

Hi, As per me, Samsung J7 is always the best. If you consider any new releases of J7 i.e. 2016 or 2017 model, they are the No.1 models in the Samsung.

J7 has better performance and super AMOLED screen. I'm also using On 7 Pro; it's also working fine. But J7 Prime is much better.

Does it have any hanging issues?
There are no hanging for latest J7 releases, but for Samsung J7 2015 model if you upgrade to the latest Android version then it lags. Because the 2015 model contains less RAM and it can't support the latest Android versions. Otherwise, it is a superb model for games, videos and talking purposes for a long time.

Always try to minimize the use of internal storage, it should be below 80% and RAM usage should be below 80%. If you maintain it, then it'll never ever hang. It has no hanging and heating issues, and its performance is just amazing.

Nowadays, 1.5GB RAM phone is not compatible as the size of apps are getting large. I have not gone through any hanging issues with this phone, but of course, the handset has slowed down a lot.
By swapancbec, 17 months ago
Mark Helpful (148)
Not really, it may hang only if you play real high end games which are graphic intensive. The octa core processor can handle most of the stuff.

Will it work in Bangladesh?
You can certainly use J7 in any country with any SIM card. Samsung India requests for the first activation of the phone with an Indian SIM card for its statistical reasons. Once the phone is activated, it can be used anywhere with any SIM.

Yes, everywhere it will be in working condition and other option is that you need to download the Keepsafe app from the AppStore.
