Sony Xperia T2 Ultra Dual

The Sony Xperia T2 Ultra Dual is a mid-range dual SIM Android smartphone and is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor along with 1GB of RAM. This processor has 4 ARM Cortex A7 cores along with Adreno 305 GPU. It has 8GB of internal storage space in addition to a microSD card slot which can be used to expand the storage space by an additional 64GB. It also has additional sensors such as ambient light sensor, accelerometer, gyro sensor, proximity sensor and compass. It even has dual microphones for effective noise cancellation during calls.

This smartphone has a design and build quality very similar to the Sony Xperia Z Ultra, but it isn't water resistant or dust proof, citing the price tag. It has a 6 inch Triluminuous display panel with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and a pixel density of 245 ppi. The screen can recognise up to 10 fingers simultaneously. It also has Sony's Bravia Engine for mobile. The ambient light sensor helps in adjusting the brightness dynamically depending upon the light in the surroundings. As far as the design of the phablet is concerned, the Xperia T2 Ultra has the usual Omnibalance design of the Xperia series. The massive device measures just 7.7 mm. It is available in white, black and purple color.

Sony Xperia T2 Ultra Dual has a 13MP primary camera at the back with autofocus lens and LED flash. It can record full HD videos at 30 frames per second while having an ability to click full resolution images at the same time. It also has features such as zero shutter lag, HDR and Sweep Panorama. It has a 1.1MP front-facing secondary camera which can record 720p HD videos at 30 frames per second as well. It has various multimedia features such as Walkman music player, Clear Stereo audio, equalisers and TrackID music recognition service.

It comes with Android v4.3 Jelly Bean per-installed along with Sony's custom UI design over it. They have additional features such as better music player, gallery and mini apps that can float over other apps for better multitasking. It will most probably receive the Android v4.4 KitKat further this year as Sony has a good track record of providing software updates but they are a bit slow in doing this.

On the connectivity front, the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra Dual comes with almost all the necessary wired and wireless features such as 42Mbps HSDPA 3G, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi Hotspot, DLNA, Bluetooth v4.0, NFC, GLONASS A-GPS, 3.5 mm audio jack and microUSB 2.0 port. As the Xperia T2 Ultra Dual is released with keeping emerging markets in mind, it also features dual SIM card slots. The power is supplied through a 3000 mAh Li-Ion battery which is sure to last a complete day of normal usage after a single full charge. It also has Sony's intelligent STAMINA mode which turns off all the unnecessary background functions when the screen is turned off.
