The Redmi Y3 is built sturdily and gets a splash-resistant coating. The selfie camera is excellent, and the battery life is impressive. The IR port really comes in handy.

Cons

The display on this phone should have been brighter. Its rear camera lacks a low-light mode. UI is filled with ads. The phone still uses a dated microUSB port for charging.

The Redmi Y3 undoubtedly delivers impressive selfie performance for a phone at this price. It also boasts a tremendous battery life. If these are the most important features for you, then you can certainly buy this phone. However, if you desire a more balanced handset then go with the Redmi Note 7. You can even save yourself some money and get pretty much all the same features as the Y3 with the Redmi 7.
