Dell Technologies has launched two new rugged laptops in India aimed at professionals working in demanding field environments. The Dell Pro Rugged 13 Extreme and Dell Pro Rugged 14 are designed for sectors including public safety, utilities, manufacturing, transportation, oil and gas, and local government, with a focus on durability, connectivity, and AI-ready performance.
Both laptops are powered by Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors and offer features including Wi-Fi 7, optional 5G, GPS, and hot-swappable batteries. Dell has also included security features designed for enterprise deployments, while both machines support gloved and water multi-touch displays for use in difficult working conditions.
Dell Pro Rugged laptops price in India
The Dell Pro Rugged 14 is priced starting at Rs. 2,65,990 in India, including taxes. The fully rugged Dell Pro Rugged 13 Extreme starts at Rs. 3,36,990, including taxes.
Both laptops are available to buy in India starting October 8, 2026.
Dell Pro Rugged 13 Extreme specifications
The Dell Pro Rugged 13 Extreme is a 13-inch fully rugged laptop designed for harsher environments. Dell says it is the company’s most powerful and smallest 13-inch fully rugged AI PC. The laptop carries an IP66 rating for protection against dust and water ingress and has been tested against drops from six feet, or around 1.8 metres.
It features a 13.3-inch FHD display with up to 1,400 nits of brightness, allowing the screen to remain readable under direct sunlight. The laptop can be configured with up to 64GB of LPDDR5X memory and Intel Arc integrated graphics for visual and data-heavy workloads. Dell also offers removable SSD and self-encrypting drive options for organisations handling sensitive information.
Dell Pro Rugged 14 specifications
The Dell Pro Rugged 14 is positioned as a more portable semi-rugged option. It weighs around 2.13kg and offers three-foot, or close to one metre, drop protection. The laptop carries an IP53 rating for protection against dust, dirt and water exposure.
It can be configured with an NVIDIA RTX PRO 500 Blackwell Generation Laptop GPU, targeting demanding visualisation, data analysis and AI workloads. The laptop supports up to 64GB of LPCAMM2 memory, while its 14-inch 16:10 FHD display reaches up to 1,100 nits of brightness. Dell has also redesigned its vehicle docking system with quad passthrough connectivity for workers who operate primarily from vehicles.
Security and connectivity features
Both laptops feature TPM 2.0, smart card readers, fingerprint readers, and IR cameras for Windows Hello facial recognition. Dell also includes SafeID with ControlVault and BIOS-level security features, alongside quantum-resistant protections.
For field connectivity, the laptops support optional private 5G, Wi-Fi 7 and GPS. Both also include Dell’s Rugged Control Center, which provides quick access to settings such as GPS configuration, hardware shortcuts, and device customisation.
