Motorola G67 Power Launched in India: 7,000mAh Battery and Dual Cameras Under Rs 16,000

Motorola is aiming to become the champion of the masses. Its latest sub-Rs 20,000 offering, the G67 Power, seems to strike a balance between affordability and an extensive feature set. But does it manage to keep essential features intact without cutting corners to keep the price down? For context, the G67 Power will be available at Rs 15,999 across Flipkart, leading retail stores, and Motorola’s website.

If someone wonders, “So, what does the Motorola G67 bring to the table?”, the answer lies in its specifications. For starters, it packs a 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, a massive upgrade from its predecessor, the G64, which had a 5,000mAh battery. This puts the G67 Power at the top of its class, sharing the podium with the OPPO K13. Historically, Motorola hasn’t impressed with battery efficiency in our tests. So, if the G67 Power manages to outperform the OPPO K13 in our battery test, it could mark a major turning point for the brand, showing it can offer a perfect blend of power and performance. To stay on top of this revelation, stay tuned to MySmartPrice.

Speaking of performance, Motorola has stuck with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor for the G67 Power, which has become its tried-and-tested chipset. It had previously utilised this SoC in other phones, including the Edge 50 Fusion, the Edge 60 Stylus, and the G96. Although the Edge 50 Fusion struggled to deliver promising results, the other two devices managed to turn things around in its favour. So, a real-world test will show whether the G67 Power keeps up its predecessors’ gains.

Regarding the software, it runs on the Hello UX, which is based on Android 15. It is a fairly clean user interface with features that offer a mix of convenience, privacy, and security, such as Moto Secure for its highly protected storage or Smart Connect for seamless pairing with a computer.

Although Motorola has yet to comment on the G67 Power’s update policy, it has clarified that it will receive the upcoming Android 16 update.

On the front, the new G series smartphone has a 6.7-inch LCD with a Full-HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

The screen size is well-suited to an immersive viewing experience; however, the lack of an AMOLED screen type makes it less appealing than rivals such as the Realme P3 in colour vibrancy. Fortunately, it has compensated for this by offering stereo speakers. They are said to deliver powerful bass and Hi-res audio.

On the subject of the cameras, the G67 Power features a 50-megapixel Sony LYTIA 600 primary camera and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide snapper. To further enhance picture quality, it is also equipped with a 2-in-1 flicker. On the other hand, the display houses a 32-megapixel front camera. What’s more, all three cameras are capable of shooting videos at 4k30fps. As an overall package, this camera setup looks poised to handle day-to-day shooting with ease, balancing quality and flexibility.

Finally, Motorola incorporates all of these features into a chassis that weighs 210 grams and is 8.6 mm thick. In addition, its rear is covered in Pantone-validated colours, such as PANTONE Parachute Purple or PANTONE Cilantro.

How the G67 Power Measures Up

At Rs 15,999, the Motorola G67 Power is in direct competition with phones including the Realme P3 and the Infinix Note 50s. If we focus on the Realme P3, it offers an AMOLED screen, the latest and powerful Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 processor, and a battery that lasts more than a day.

On the other hand, the Infinix Note 50s emphasises a sleek design while packing an AMOLED display and a reliable Dimensity 7300 processor, ensuring smooth performance for everyday tasks.

As a result, it will be interesting to see how the Motorola G67 Power competes in the sub-Rs 20,000 segment, where battery life and smooth performance matter most. While the Realme P3 and Infinix Note 50s may have an edge in display or design, the G67 Power strikes a solid balance between endurance, performance, and usability. It doesn’t reinvent the wheel, but it delivers practical features at a fair price. For value-conscious buyers, it is a compelling choice that covers the essentials well.
