Nothing Phone (4b) Launched in India With Snapdragon 6 Gen 4, 6,000mAh Battery and Glyph Bar

Nothing has launched the Phone (4b) in India as the first smartphone in its new (b) series. The phone sits as a new entry point into Nothing's smartphone ecosystem and comes with the brand's familiar transparent-inspired design, Glyph Bar, Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset, 120Hz Super AMOLED display, 50MP OIS main camera, and Nothing OS 4.1 based on Android 16.

The Nothing Phone (4b) also brings the largest battery ever used in a Nothing smartphone, a 6,000mAh unit, along with Essential AI tools, native ChatGPT integration, and up to six years of security updates. The company has also introduced a limited Phone (4b) RCB Edition in India in partnership with Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

Nothing says the phone will be available at an effective price of ₹29,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant and ₹33,699 for the 8GB + 256GB variant, including a 7.5% instant bank discount and exchange bonus.

The Nothing Phone (4b) will go on sale from July 14, 2026. It will be available via Flipkart and leading offline retail partners, including Croma, Reliance Digital, and Vijay Sales. The phone comes in Black, White, and Blue colour options.

Nothing Phone (4b) RCB Edition Announced

Nothing has also introduced a Phone (4b) RCB Edition in India. The special edition model has been launched in partnership with Royal Challengers Bengaluru, with Nothing being the main title sponsor of RCB.

The Phone (4b) RCB Edition comes in an exclusive red colourway with RCB branding and collector's edition packaging. Nothing says this is the first official RCB smartphone collaboration. The limited edition model is available only through a limited drop at Nothing's Flagship Store in Bengaluru.

Nothing Phone (4b) Design and Glyph Bar

The Nothing Phone (4b) borrows design elements from the Phone (4a) series. It combines the Glyph Bar introduced with the Phone (4a) and the unibody design of the Phone (4a) Pro. Nothing says the final design was selected after more than 20 internal design iterations.

The phone uses a crystal-clear soft polymer camera module with 3D curved edges and an eco-polycarbonate unibody. It also has a three-layer coating that is claimed to offer a more comfortable and fingerprint-resistant finish.

The Nothing Phone (4b) is rated IP64 for dust and water resistance. The company also says the phone can withstand up to 600 Newtons of bending force.

The Glyph Bar on the back includes 45 individually controlled mini-LEDs with up to 3,500 nits brightness. It can show notifications, charging progress, recording indicators, and personalised alerts.

Nothing Phone (4b) Performance and Battery

The Nothing Phone (4b) is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset, built on a 4nm process. Nothing says the phone has an AnTuTu score of over 1 million and offers performance close to the Phone (4a).

The chipset is paired with Qualcomm's 6th Gen AI Engine, which is used for on-device AI tasks across photography, voice recognition, and Nothing's Essential AI tools.

For thermals, the Phone (4b) gets a 4,400mm² vapour chamber. Nothing claims the phone can run up to 2°C cooler during demanding workloads, helping reduce thermal throttling during gaming and 4K video recording.

The company also claims support for up to 90fps in BGMI and Call of Duty: Mobile, and up to 120fps in games such as Subway Surfers and League of Legends: Wild Rift.

Battery is one of the bigger upgrades here. The Nothing Phone (4b) packs a 6,000mAh battery, which Nothing says is 11% larger than the Phone (4a) Pro's battery. The company claims up to 18 hours of mixed usage, up to 22 hours of YouTube playback, and up to 26 hours of Instagram browsing.

The phone supports 33W wired fast charging. Nothing says it can charge up to 50% in under 30 minutes and reach a full charge in just over an hour. The battery is also claimed to retain up to 90% capacity after 1,200 charge cycles.

Nothing Phone (4b) Camera Features

The Nothing Phone (4b) features a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilisation. The main camera is paired with electronic image stabilisation and a 360-degree ambient light sensor. The phone also gets a 119-degree ultrawide camera.

The camera system is powered by Nothing's TrueLens Engine 4. The phone supports Ultra XDR imaging, which combines 13 RAW frames to improve highlights, shadow detail, and colours.

For video, the Phone (4b) can record 4K videos at 30fps. It uses OIS, EIS, and AI anti-shake for stabilisation. Nothing has also added dual video capture, which allows users to record from the front and rear cameras at the same time. The selfie window can be repositioned on the screen while recording.

Nothing is also adding creative camera tools such as Disco and DV filters for photos and videos, Signature Presets, and Playground.

Nothing Phone (4b) Display, Audio and Software

The Nothing Phone (4b) has a 6.77-inch Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. The display supports 1,200 nits outdoor brightness, 2,000 nits peak brightness, and HDR10+. It also has a 1,000Hz instant touch sampling rate for better touch response, especially while gaming.

For audio, the phone comes with true dual stereo speakers. Nothing claims a 20% better stereo effect compared to the Phone (4a). The phone also supports Nothing's 160-level volume control system for more precise volume adjustment.

On the software side, the Nothing Phone (4b) runs Nothing OS 4.1 based on Android 16. It comes with 3 years of Android updates and 6 years of security patches, which Nothing claims is the longest software support in its segment.

The phone also gets pixel-level micro-shifting technology to help reduce the risk of AMOLED burn-in over time.

Essential AI Tools Come to Phone (4b)

Nothing is bringing its full Essential AI experience to the Phone (4b). This includes native ChatGPT integration across the UI, clipboard, and widgets, along with Google Gemini, Circle to Search, and Hey Google.

The phone also gets the Essential Key, which gives users access to Essential Space, Essential Search, Essential Voice, Essential Apps, and Playground. Nothing is positioning this as the same AI experience available on its flagship devices.

What This Launch Means for Nothing's Phone Lineup

The Phone (4b) is important because it starts a new smartphone series for Nothing. The company already has its numbered flagship phones and the Phone (a) lineup, and the Phone (4b) now creates another entry point into the ecosystem.

Nothing is using the Phone (4b) to bring some of its familiar identity markers, including the Glyph Bar, Nothing OS, Essential AI tools, and transparent-inspired design, to a more accessible segment. At the same time, the larger battery, Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset, AMOLED display, and long software support suggest that the company wants the (b) series to be more than just a design-led budget play.

For buyers, the key things to watch will be how the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 performs in actual day-to-day use, how useful the Essential AI features are beyond the spec sheet, and whether the 6,000mAh battery delivers the kind of endurance Nothing is claiming.
