Vivo X300, Vivo X300 Pro
Vivo just dropped the mic in India with the new X300 series. It’s not trying to be the “budget flagship” option anymore. With the X300 and X300 Pro, it’s walking right up to the big table to sit with Samsung and Apple.
The focus? Cameras, cameras, cameras. It’s betting everything on Zeiss magic and some serious hardware to justify that premium price tag.
Vivo launches X300 and X300 Pro Pricing in India
Let's talk money, because these aren’t cheap. If you are looking at the standard Vivo X300, the base model (12GB/256GB) kicks off at Rs 75,999. Want more storage? That will push the price to Rs 81,999, and the fully loaded 16GB version lands at Rs 85,999.
Then there is the big sibling, the X300 Pro. Vivo isn’t messing around with multiple versions here; it’s offering just one top-tier configuration (16GB + 512GB) for Rs 1,09,999. That price tag puts it squarely in the “ultra-premium” club, right alongside the most expensive flagships out there.
You can grab them starting December 10, but the real surprise might be the accessories. Vivo is launching a fancy Telephoto Extender Kit for Rs 18,999. It's meant for people who want their phone to zoom like a mirrorless camera. Interestingly, that price significantly undercuts similar gear from Oppo (which is closer to Rs 30k), a pretty clear signal that Vivo is trying to own the mobile photography space aggressively.
Vivo X300 Pro vs X300: Specs, strategy, and which one makes sense for you
The X300 Pro is clearly the showstopper here. It sports a gorgeous 6.78-inch 1.5K BOE OLED screen that handles bright sunlight like a champ (thanks to something called Circular Polarisation 2.0).
Inside, both phones are running the new MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chip. That is a bold move since everyone else usually sticks to Snapdragon, but it shows Vivo is confident this chip can hang with the best.
The Camera bit: The Pro is a beast for photos. It uses a top-tier 50MP Sony LYT-828 sensor for the main cam and a massive 200MP periscope lens for zoom. Throw in those custom imaging chips and Zeiss color science, and you have a powerhouse. Plus, it has a huge 6,510mAh battery that charges incredibly fast (90W wired, 40W wireless).
The Standard X300 bit: But don’t sleep on the regular X300. It’s actually quite special because it’s small. With a 6.31-inch screen, it's one of the few flagship phones you can actually use with one hand, giving the Galaxy S24 a run for its money. It swaps the camera sensors around (200MP main, 50MP zoom) but keeps the same processing power. Plus, at just 190g, it's super light.
So, which one should you buy? If you want the absolute best zoom and a big screen, go for the Pro. But if you miss the days of phones fitting in your pocket without sacrificing camera quality, the standard X300 is the smarter pick. Ideally, this launch proves Vivo is done being the underdog; it’s ready to play in the big leagues.
