A premium phone to fit personality and style
Samsung Galaxy A5 is a recent launch that brought in the first "full metallic" body smartphone from Samsung.
The phone itself boasts a stunning luxurious design and a mind-blowing 5 inch "SUPER AMOLED" display.. and yes let me tell you nothing can be better than the realistic display of a "SUPER AMOLED" screen. I have experienced that on the previous phones that I had : NOTE 1& NOTE 2.
The phone is launched in 4 beautiful colours that you can choose as per your style.

Design/Build quality

The feeling this phone gives you is something that will catch you offguard. The A5′s unibody is made entirely from metal/aluminium with chamfered edges (a Samsung first), giving it a very different feel, which is further helped by the fact that the phone is very slim as well something that we haven't seen with samsung from a long time.

The camera oozes excellence with a 13-megapixel sensor made by Sony, the Sony Exmor IMX135 for the rear camera .It’s the same sensor that was used on the S4 and does shoot good pictures overall. It is inclusive of LED flash and can shoot 1080p videos at 30fps.
In daylight conditions the pictures come out pretty awesome with great detail and good overall sharpness. When you take photos in low-light the pictures often come out grainy with a lot of distortion. It has many filters and modes like HDR , panorama etc.

The front camera supports a resolution of over 5.0 megapixel. It also has a CMOS sensor. This is wide angle camera and you can take very good group selfies. The picture quality was very good however its grainy in low light.

Software & Performance
The Antutu Benchmark score for this phone is 21141.
It runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat out of the box that can be upgraded to Android 5.0 Lollipop. It runs on 2GB ram and touchwiz take quite sometime to pop-up the things. This phone clocks on Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A53 Snapdragon 410 processor that works in tandem with 2GB RAM to enable you to carry out high-end tasks and play powerful games simultaneously without any lag.
TouchWiz is basically the same as we know from other Samsung phones, with the only new thing here being the support for themes. These themes can only change the phone’s icons, nothing more, nothing less and there are just three themes available on the Samsung app store and it doesn't supports any third party themes as of now. Still it is good to see a few changes in the TouchWiz.The handset is equipped with a range of Samsung's proprietary features including Ultra-Power Saving Mode, Private Mode, Multiscreen etc.

It is a single sim phone. It supports a nano-sim. It has good connectivity over Bluetooth, Wi-fi, GPS, 3G/2G,NFC (LTE - Model).
It does has FM radio with recording and it supports a 3.5mm audio output jack.

It has 16GB native storage as well as the up-to-64GB memory expansion support that is quite appreciable

As I said earlier it has a brilliant "SUPER AMOLED" display. I am still baffled about the screen size that is 5 inches and it supports a resolution of (1280x720) that is good. The display is very bright and you can read easily under sunlight or outdoor conditions. The pixel density is 294 dpi and that is quite impressive. It does support multi-touch support. The most annoying thing about the display of the phone is that when there is any black screen or any black picture on the screen you get to see some purple/black smearing. It’s irritating when you notice it, and this has happenned to me earlier as well when I had NOTE 1 and NOTE 2 and yes it does happens to "SUPER AMOLED" displays and it is normal however it won't give you any problems though.

Call Quality and Battery

It does have an active noise cancellation microphone like the other high end samsung smartphones. Owing to that the call quality is crip and clear.

It has a 2,300mAh battery under the hood and its stamina is just insane, I mean just looking at the capacity of the battery one would never think about having a very good battery backup from this phone. But trust me it has a very good battery back up and if in case you run out of juice you can switch to the ultra-power saving mode for extra miles. It runs through the day with heavy use and at the end of the day it has around 25 percent left.

Pros :

• Premium build
• Thinness
• Themes (Finally)
• Awesome Battery Life
• Full metal body and Stylish looks.
• Expandable memory upto 64GB
• Very high-resolution photos (13mp for rear & 5 mp for front)
• NFC-enabled

• Grainy pictures in low- light.
• Purple banding/Smearing on black display and pictures.
• Reception isn’t that great all the time (may be because of the mettalic body)
• No Notification LED ( It is a must for smart phones of this age)

Overall Impression

Overall this phone has left me positive feelings. It is a premium phone.
Got money and need style & performance .. Go for it.
