A total of 100 seats have been reserved for Mi fans. 10 lucky winners will receive free tickets and accommodations for the event by heading over to this page. Entering is simple. All you need to do is like and follow POCO India’s Facebook, Instagram and Twitter social pages. Then, you will need to head on over to the registration page for the event and sign in using a Mi account. The registration page will ask for your basic details such as Name, Age, Gender, Email and so on. The last question asks you for your dream phone specifications and price.
Just submit your details and answer to stand a chance to win a free trip to Delhi and attend the launch event for the POCO F1. The deadline to take part in this lucky draw ends on 16 August at 11:59 PM. Selected applicants will receive further instruction by 17 August 11:59 PM.
POCO F1: Specifications, Features
We already have a pretty decent idea of what to expect from the POCO F1. The phone is likely to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC which boasts a quad-core CPU with clock speeds up to 2.8GHz. While the phone hasn’t been marketed as a gaming device, it should still benefit from its liquid cooling tech implemented over the chipset. Furthermore, multitasking should not be a matter of concern with its 6GB of RAM. The phone will offer 64GB of onboard storage which will further be expandable with a microSD card inserted into the included hybrid Dual-SIM slot.
In the imaging department, the POCO F1 from the Xiaomi sub-brand will feature a 12MP+5MP rear camera setup. This configuration is expected to come with features such as dual-pixel autofocus, and be able to record 4K ultra HD videos. The front camera on this phone will be a large 20MP sensor capable of IR Face Unlock, AI portrait and AI Beautify features.
Connectivity features will include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS (Global Navigation Satellite System), BeiDou, 4G VoLTE, and a USB Type-C port. Battery life is also said to be impressive thanks to the included 4000mAh cell that supports Quick Charge 3.0. While it is likely Xiaomi will ship the phone with Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box, we are still not sure if it would come with MIUI 9.5 or MIUI 10.
POCO F1: Expected Price in India
There is a good chance the POCO F1 will be the most affordable smartphone powered by a Snapdragon 845 in India. It is being speculated that the device will cost somewhere around Rs.27,000. It is unclear if there will be more storage options other than the previously mentioned 64GB model. The phone is said to come in two colour options, Blue and Graphite Black. The most affordable Snapdragon 845 smartphone currently retailing in India is the Asus Zenfone 5Z which retails for Rs.29,999.
