AAYO PokeCon, India’s First Lan Pokemon Unite Tournament from Crowd Control Esports with Rs 10 Lakh Prize Pool Announced

It’s time to cheer for the Indian Pokemon Unite Community as Crowd Control Esports has announced AAYO PokeCon, India’s First Lan Pokemon Unite Tournament, with a massive prize pool. Pokemon Unite is not that popular compared to other titles like BGMI, Free Fire, COD etc., but this tournament will bring up standards for the game in the country.

Pokemon Unite is a free-to-play Multiplayer Online Battle Arena game released for Nintendo Switch and Mobile devices. Reportedly, the game has been downloaded more than 70 million times across all platforms globally as of April 2022. Even though the game is not renowned in India, several well-known organizations like S8UL, Chemin Esports, Enigma Gaming, and Revenant Esports have competitive rosters in India.

Moreover, Revenant Esports recently participated in the Pokemon Unite World Championship 2022 after winning the Indian regional finals. The team ended up in the thirteenth position in the event.

Crowd Control Esports is an Indian Esports organization that aims to empower the youth by empowering the esports communities and enthusiasts to self sustain and monetize their skills in tandem with all the aspects of the ecosystem. The company has conducted various events across various popular titles in India.

This time, they raised the bar for the popular MOBA title and came up with Pokecon as a LAN-line event. Prior to the announcement, the organizers also hosted several scrims to take in winning teams into the upcoming event. Aayo Pokecon is the biggest third-party event in the history of the Indian Pokemon Community which is announced with a Rs 10 Lakh Prize Pool.

The announcement reads: “Hello Pokémon Unite Community Calling y’all to witness India’s first Pokémon Unite LAN Event, to witness India’s Biggest MOBA fest, to witness the revolution of MOBAs. Get ready to witness 1000 IQ plays, some crazy unite moves, and lots and lots of Pokemon action.
