Bharti Airtel the Indian telecom giant has launched a new and lite version of its Airtel Thanks app which is said to be faster than the previous version. The company also claimed that the app consumes less than 1MB space on your smartphone. The newly launched ‘Airtel Thanks Lite app’ is called Airtel Lite and the application is available for download and installation via Google Play Store with a download size of 0.97MB. 

Bharti Airtel in a message to its customer said, “Introducing Airtel Lite app- the small and light version of Airtel Thanks app! It takes less than 1MB space and is super-fast. Download now http://u.airtel.in/engun.”

The newly launched Airtel Lite app will allow users to manage and recharge their Airtel prepaid number on 2G connection as well with a faster speed and simpler way. The company also claimed that the user interface of the app is easy to use and the payment methods are convenient to make payments. 

Moreover, the Airtel Lite app also consumes less battery to ensure that the app won’t drain the battery of your smartphone quickly. Airtel users will be able to recharge their Airtel number, get recharge recommendations packs, discounts, and cashback offers. Users can also check their account details, pack validity, daily data balance, talktime balance, keep a track of latest news and updates, and listen to trending music with Wynk Radio on the app. 

Meanwhile, Reliance Jio has also launched its high-speed voice and data services in Zanskar area in Ladakh region. The telco has provided its 4G LTE services across 15 towns and villages in Leh and 22 towns and villages in Kargil. The company has installed four new towers in Pibiting, Padum, Akshow and Abran regions in Zanskar. Earlier these regions were out of telecom services and it was very difficult for travellers and residence to access internet and voice calling services.
