Airtel Payments Bank Smartwatch: Price, Availability

The Airtel Payments Bank Smartwatch is priced at Rs 2,999 and is already available for sale in India. However, it’s only available for Airtel Payments Bank users and can be purchased from the Airtel Thanks app. To order, you can simply head to the Payments Bank section on the app, find the watch, and make the payment to complete the process.

Those who don’t have an Airtel Payments Bank account can do so digitally on the Thanks app instantly and then proceed to order the smartwatch.

Airtel has launched the Payments Bank smartwatch to increase its bank’s user base and to give an option to now-banned Paytm Bank’s users who are looking for a convenient alternative. As you can already tell, the Airtel Payments Bank smartwatch uses NFC to enable contactless Tap and Pay mode for users. Users will be able to make payments from Rs 1 to Rs 25,000 per day using the Airtel Payments Bank smartwatch.

Airtel has onboarded the global payment technology giant Mastercard to enable contactless payment through the smartwatch. With the new launch, Airtel Payments Bank users will be able to benefit from seamless payments at supported retail outlets, POS terminals, and various other touchpoints.

It is revealed that this is the first device that the telco has launched in this space. The company will work on more solutions and devices to enhance the digital banking experience for its users. But the concept isn’t new; back in 2020, SBI and Titan collaborated to launch the Titan Pay in India for contactless payments.

Airtel Payments Bank Smartwatch: Specifications

Contactless payments aside, the Airtel Payments Bank smartwatch is a budget wearable at its heart. It comes with a 1.85-inch TFT display with 500 nits of brightness and includes 150 cloud-based watch faces.

The watch can track 130 sports modes and has health sensors to measure SpO2, stress, heart rate, and more. It also comes with Bluetooth Calling support and can last up to 10 days on a single charge. The smartwatch has an IP68 rating and comes in Black, Blue, and Grey colours.
