
Black Shark the company known for its wide range of gaming smartphone offering seems to be working on a new smartphone called the Black Shark 4 Pro. Now the smartphone is listed on the Google Play Console with codename “penrose”. Last month a handset from the brands was also listed on the Google Play Console with codename “kaiser” with model number KSR-AO. The smartphone with codename “kaiser” was believed to arrive as the Black Shark 4. Here’s a closer look at the Black Shark 4 Pro Google Console listing.

The alleged Black Shark 4 Pro is listed on Google Play Console with model number PSR-A0 and codenamed penrose. According to the listing, the handset will be powered by the Snapdragon 865 chipset, the same processor was also seen on last year’s gaming smartphone. The smartphone with codename “kaiser” was spotted with Snapdragon 835 SoC. It seems that both the smartphones are listed on Google Play Console with the incorrect chipset. The upcoming gaming smartphones are expected to arrive with the latest Snapdragon 888 chipset.
The listing also suggests that the Black Shark 4 Pro will be backed by a 12GB RAM and runs Android 10 operating system. The render of the upcoming smartphone on Google Play Console suggests that the Black Shark 4 Pro will feature a punch-hole cutout display placed at the top-centre of the phone. The listing didn’t reveal anything about the size of the phone but it does mention that the Black Shark 4 Pro will offer a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x2400 pixels with an aspect ratio of 20:9.
The image listed on the listing also revealed that the BlackShark 4 Pro will feature a volume rocker on the left chassis. The right side of the phone will feature a shoulder button for triggering up the gaming mode. Expect all this the listing didn’t reveal much about the smartphone.
The Black Shark 4 Pro is yet to be listed on TENAA listing, so we can expect more information once the gaming smartphone will be listed on other certification. The Black Shark 4 is already listed on TENAA listing at the starting of this month. The listing suggests that the handset will feature a 6.67-inch display. Under the hood, the smartphone is fuelled by a massive 4,500 mAh battery and runs Android 11 OS. It was also reported that the Black Shark 4 series will feature a 120Hz refresh rate.
