Apple was rumoured to launch the AirPods 3 at the Spring Loaded event in April. While that did not happen, a new report has refreshed the rumour with an update. According to a report by Hits Double Daily, Apple will release the AirPods 3 in the coming weeks. The report also states that the company would introduce a new HiFi Apple Music tier alongside. Both new products and services will be launched in the coming weeks. If true, Apple would directly compete against Spotify, which launched Spotify HiFi earlier this year. Let’s take a look at the Apple Music HiFi, Apple AirPods 3 launch rumours and other details.
Apple AirPods 3 launch tipped; Apple Music HiFi to be launched alongside
AirPods 3 could see a launch date very soon. A new report states that Apple is planning to launch its new wireless earbuds in the coming weeks.
The report by Hits Double Daily does not reveal the launch date of the third-generation AirPods. It only states that the company will launch it in the coming weeks. Details of the upcoming Apple wireless earbuds have leaked in the past. The new generation earbuds are said to share the AirPods Pro design language with some minor differences. Leaked images show that the next-gen model will have a smaller stem compared to the current-gen AirPods. Previous reports also suggest that it will not come with “Pro” features like Active Noise Cancellation.
Another major revelation in the report is the introduction of Apple Music HiFi. The report states that Apple will introduce a high fidelity (HiFi) tier in Apple Music. HiFi, in general, offers superior sound clarity and depth. Spotify, Tidal, and Amazon Music offer a special HiFi tier for their subscribers. However, the lossless audio feature is not officially available in India.
If Apple plans to roll out HiFi audio support, the feature could make it to India. The report states that it will cost the same as the current standard Apple Music plan at $9.99. In India, the standard Apple Music plan is priced at Rs 99 per month in India. Both new products are expected to launch in the coming weeks.
