According to The Verifier report, the visionOS-inspired design elements in the UI will come to both iOS and iPadOS 18. The latest leak reveals that the Apple TV app on these platforms will come with the same translucent navigation bar that was introduced in the tvOS 17.2 and is similar to the Apple TV design in the visionOS.

According to the report, Apple also plans to redesign various stock apps including Safari, and system menus to resemble that of visionOS.

For the uninitiated, Apple typically showcases a new iOS version at the WWDC event held in June before releasing it to the public in September with the launch of new iPhones. We can expect the brand to stick to the same timeline for the iOS 18 launch as well.

After WWDC 2024 in June, Apple will roll out the iOS 18 beta for developers, followed by a public beta for users. The final version of the new operating system is then released to all users around September after the launch of the iPhone lineup.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has confirmed that iOS 18 will be the biggest update in the history of the iPhone. According to the noted tipster, the next update will bring integrated generative AI features and a large language model (LLM) built into Siri and the messages app.
