ASUS unveiled its RTX 40 Super Series of graphics cards at CES 2024. The company has launched 17 new desktop-grade GPUs under their ROG Strix and TUF Gaming lineups. The new graphics cards also feature Nvidia’s AI Tensor Cores to boost AI-related tasks.
The new RTX 40 Super Series graphics cards are almost 50% faster in generating images using AI, as compared to the RTX 3080 Ti. The top models are capable of ray tracing at a full 4K resolution. They also have support for Nvidia DLSS 3.
ASUS ROG Strix RTX 40 Super Graphics Cards
The ASUS ROG Strix lineup gets 8 new GPUs, including OC Editions. These are based on Nvidia’s Ada Lovelace architecture, along with 4th-generation Tensor cores. It is paired with GDDR6 memory in 8GB, 16GB, and 24GB options. ASUS is offering a triple fan design on all new GPUs. These are Axial-tech fans that offer up to 23% higher airflow for better cooling, along with a vapour chamber. It also features a 16-pin 12VHPWR connector.
ASUS says that these graphics cards also have a 0dB mode, where the fans are switched off for low-performance tasks. The GPUs also feature RGB lighting with FanConnect II headers that allow users to connect their GPU to two case fans.
The RTX 4080 Super variants are twice as powerful when compared to the RTX 3080 Ti, as per Nvidia. They support 836 AI TOPS, making them one of the most powerful graphics cards for AI processing. It supports ray tracing at 4K resolution.
The RTX 4070 Ti Super is more suitable for 1440p gaming, but it also supports 4K. Nvidia says that it is 60% faster than the RTX 3070 Ti. The RTX 4070 Super on the other hand contains 20% more cores than the regular RTX 4070.

ASUS TUF Gaming RTX 40 Super Graphics Cards
The TUF Series graphics cards from ASUS offer the same cooling systems from the ROG Strix Series, at a lower price. It features the same Ada Lovelace architecture with Nvidia DLSS3 and the Axial tech triple fans. However, the TUF GPUs have very limited RGB lighting as compared to Strix.

Both the ROG Strix and TUF Gaming Series graphics cards have support for GPU Tweak III software. It allows users to tune their GPU based on presets from ASUS, or even custom settings. Users can also monitor the stats of their GPU on their smartphone.
All the new ASUS RTX 40 Super Series graphics cards come with a 1-month free subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud, which provides access to 20+ Adobe apps like Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Acrobat Pro, and more. These graphic cards are also Windows 11 compatible out of the box.
ASUS has not announced the pricing of its new GPUs yet. According to Nvidia’s MSRP, the RTX 4080 Super cards are priced at $999 (approx Rs 83,000), the RTX 4070 Ti Super at $799 (approx Rs 66,500), and the RTX 4070 Super costs $599 (approx Rs 49,700). The OC edition cards from ASUS will be priced higher than Nvidia’s suggested rates.
