Asus is reportedly working on launching its Asus ROG Phone 3 smartphone soon. As per the previous reports, the brand will unveil its Asus Zenfone 7 and the Asus ROG Phone 3 somewhere in July 2020. A little while ago, we were able to spot the Asus ROG Phone 3 smartphone on the Wi-Fi Alliance certification website, as well as on the Geekbench database, which gave us a working clue as to what some of its specifications could be. Today, we have been able to spot a new Asus device on the Eurasian EEC certification website, which could very well be the Asus ROG Phone 3. Plus, the accessory page for the device, which mentions compatible accessories, has also been made live ahead of the official launch. Take a look at what we know about the Asus ROG Phone 3 smartphone so far.
Asus ROG Phone 3: What we know so far
Starting with the EEC certification, the Asus smartphone (with the model number Asus ZS661KS) has been spotted on the certification website on June 10, 2020. Though the certification does not explicitly mention anything about the specifications and features of the Asus ROG Phone 3, it is a clear indication that the device will be launched in several countries. Mapping the same model number with the accessories website of Asus, we noticed that the product page for the device’s accessories has already been made live and a USB type-C charging cable to the Asus ROG Phone 3 is already listed on the product page, thereby hinting at a nearing launch date.
As far as the specifications of the device are concerned, the Asus ROG Phone 3 is tipped to feature an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, which will be paired with up to 12GB of RAM. There will be an 8GB RAM variant as well, however. Both the 8GB and 12GB RAM variants of the Asus ROG Phone 3 have already been caught on the Geekbench database website, which has also confirmed that the device will boot the latest Android 10 OS out of the box.
