Possible ASUS ROG Phone 7 Spotted on Geekbench and 3C Certification, Reveals Key Specifications

ASUS might launch the ROG Phone 7 series soon. The company is expected to launch at least a couple of models in the lineup, which could be called the ROG Phone 7 and the ROG Phone 7D. There could be Ultimate versions of the phone with more RAM and storage options. The ROG Phone 7D was spotted on Geekbench with the model number AI2205_D. Now, two more ASUS ROG Phone smartphones have been spotted on a couple of certification websites.

The ROG Phone 7 has visited the Geekbench website ahead of its official launch. There is also another ROG Phone with the model number AI2205_A, which has visited the 3C certification website. Let’s take a look at the ASUS ROG Phone 7 series specifications, features and other details known so far.

ASUS ROG Phone 7 Series Geekbench and 3C Listings

The ASUS ROG Phone 7 series is expected to launch very soon in China and other markets. Ahead of the launch, the ROG Phone 7 series has been spotted online. The ROG Phone 7, which has the model number AI2205_B, has been spotted on the Geekbench website. The listing on Geekbench confirms that the ROG Phone 7 features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The octa-core SoC has a peak clock speed of 3.19GHz with four performance cores clocked at 2.8GHz and three efficiency cores clocked at 2.02GHz. It will feature an Adreno 740 GPU.

The variant of the ROG Phone 7 listed on Geekbench has 16GB of RAM. It is also confirmed to run Android 13 out of the box. The phone should have its ROG skin UI on top of Android. As per the listing, the phone scored 2022 and 5719 in Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core tests.

The phone was also spotted on 3C with 65W fast charging support. The other ROG Phone 7 series phone, which has the model number AI2205_A, also has the same charging speed support.

As per a recent report, the ROG Phone 7 Chinese variant has the model number AI2205_B, whereas the global variant has the model number AI2205_A. The phones are expected to launch in the third quarter of 2023. They might feature a 6000 mAh battery. The devices are also likely to feature an AMOLED display with at least 165Hz refresh rate support.
