BoAt Airdopes 701 ANC

BoAt, the popular Indian wearables manufacturer, has launched a new pair of true wireless earbuds – the BoAt Airdopes 701 ANC. The latest TWS to join the BoAt party is also its least expensive option offering active noise cancellation, and at the price that it comes in, makes for a strong proposition among budget earphones buyers. The Airdopes 701 ANC will rival two pretty competitive offerings in the country – the Realme Buds Air 2 and the Oppo Enco W51, which also come with comparative feature sets as the new BoAt buds.

BoAt Airdopes 701 ANC: price in India

The BoAt Airdopes 701 ANC comes to India at Rs 3,999. It therefore rivals the Realme Buds Air 2, which costs Rs 3,299, and the Oppo Enco W51 that is priced at Rs 4,999.

Features and specifications

The earbuds feature 9mm dynamic drivers, which is pretty much what you’d expect in this segment. BoAt has claimed a bass biased audio signature from the Airdopes 701, which is also in line with what you’d expect among mass market TWS earbuds. Other specifications include hybrid noise cancellation offering 30dB ambient sound attenuation. Wireless connectivity is based on Bluetooth 5.0 with IWP (instant wake and pair) for easy pairing and connectivity at all times. It also features a typical Airdopes design that BoAt has used before, too.

The BoAt Airdopes 701 ANC also feature three distinct connectivity and playback modes, which include the standard ANC mode, a ‘Crystal’ mode for listening to ambient sound around you (aka transparency mode in other ANC headphones), and a ‘Beast’ mode, which claims to offer a specific low latency audio mode for gaming sessions. In terms of battery life and charging, the Airdopes 701 offers 5.5 hours of audio playback from the earbuds, and additional three full charges from the charging case to stretch total audio playback per charge to 22 hours.

The Airdopes 701 also offers fast charging where five minutes of charging can offer 60 minutes of audio playback, which is handy for when users may have a quick meeting to attend to, but may have forgotten to charge their earbuds. Fully charging the case takes up to two hours. The buds also get gesture control with tap for play/pause and more, as well as IPX7 rated durability for usage in gyms and workout sessions.
