Google has announced a new streaming device in India today called the Google Chromecast with Google TV. This is the company’s latest streaming device launched globally back in September 2020. After almost two years, the company has finally launched the 4K steaming device in India.
With this launch, Google’s Chromecast with Google TV becomes India’s second streaming device to run on the new Google TV software. The Realme 4K Smart Google TV Stick, is the first one to launch with Google TV UI in India. Let’s take a look at the details of the new Chromecast with Google TV.
Chromecast with Google TV: Price in India and Availability
In India, the Google Chromecast with Google TV is now available for purchase via Flipkart and will be coming soon to other retail outlets. The Chromecast with Google TV is priced at Rs 6,399. The streaming device will is available in the Snow (White) colour option only.
Those who purchase the newly launched device can get the Google Nest hub at just Rs 4,999 and the Google Nest mini at Rs 1,999.
Chromecast with Google TV: Features and Specifications
The Google Chromecast with Google TV is a 4K streaming device which converts non-smart TVs to smart TV. This can also be useful for those who are running an older version of Android on smart TVs. 
It is a simple plug-and-play device with an HDMI port on one side of the streaming device and a USB end, which should be connected to a power outlet or TV itself. The box also comes with Bluetooth remote with hotkeys for YouTube, Netflix, and Google Assistant. On the side, the remote also comes with volume rockers.
Google TV is the star of the show here, which offers tabs on the top 一 Search, Home, Apps, and Library. The streaming device supports resolution up to 4K HDR, 60 FPS and it supports Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HDR10+ formats as well. Further, it comes with 8GB of internal storage to store all apps and games and you get access to Google Play Store and Google Play services. Other features include 2GB of RAM, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4 GHz / 5 GHz), and Bluetooth.
