CD Projekt Red has announced a free Cyberpunk 2077 trial this weekend. The announcement was made via the game’s official X account. It will be available to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S players worldwide. Here is everything you need to know about the free trial.
How to Play Cyberpunk 2077 for Free?
Cyberpunk 2077 free trial is a limited-time event where players can enter the Night City without paying anything. It does not require a paid PlayStation Plus or Xbox Game Pass membership. All you will need is a compatible console and access to the internet for digital download.
You can play Cyberpunk 2077 for free from March 28 at 8:30 PM IST to April 1 at 12:29 PM IST. The free trial will last five hours and can be played on a PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, or Xbox Series S. You can choose to play the full five hours in one go or spread it across the duration of the trial.
Once you have completed the duration, the gameplay will be locked, and you will need to purchase the game to continue. CD Projekt Red has revealed that your game progress will be saved so that you can resume whenever you decide to buy the game.
It is important to note that the free trial includes only the Cyberpunk 2077 base game. It does not include the Phantom Liberty DLC, which was recently released.
The download size for Cyberpunk 2077 is nearly 100GB on PlayStation 5 and about 103GB on Xbox consoles. For a smoother user experience, ensure you have the required storage space and an unlimited internet connection.
