After delays here and there, the most anticipated game of the year, Cyberpunk 2077, is set to arrive soon. After the iconic Keanu Reeves moment, Cyberpunk 2077 saw a spike in interest. While the last delay had pushed the release date to November 19th. The game has since then gone gold, i.e. mostly bug-free.
However, CD Projekt Red wants to perfect it, and now we have a final release date of December 10th. The devs have started releasing promo material surrounding the game, as such. We recently saw the Xbox gameplay, and now we have more gameplay videos and a trailer, and it looks like Keanu Reeves’ character, Johnny Silverhands, will be playable!
Cyberpunk 2077 Official Trailer and Gameplay Videos Released
It looks like the release date of December 10 is set, as this trailer makes it a point to solidify it. The trailer is a bit of narration into what the game is, rather than just a ton of cutscenes thrown together to show us the action.
The new episode of Night City Wire also shows us a lot more about the game, including a behind-the-scenes bit with Keanu Reeves that shows his motion capture and voiceover process. Seeing him genuinely enjoying the process honestly is a bit of a trailer into the game itself. Additonally, we will also be able to play as Johnny Silverhands. It looks like we’re in for a ride.
Another video bundled in this little PR release is a look into the sound design behind the game, which is an underrated aspect of video game design. The music sounds amazing so far.
Lastly, there’s a featurette on JALI, a software framework that will be a part of the game that generates realistic facial expressions and movements. Pretty impressive.
Officially, NVIDIA also released an RTX gameplay video with some behind the scenes bits:
