Ubisoft has shared the official Assassin’s Creed Shadows gameplay trailer at Ubisoft Forward. It is an extended trailer that lasts for 13 minutes and gives a good look at how the game would play. It primarily focuses on combat and stealth mechanics featuring the two protagonists Naoe, a shinobi assassin, and Yasuke, a legendary loyal samurai.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows Gameplay
Assassin’s Creed Shadows gameplay trailer starts by showing off the various combat mechanisms. The new combat system features destructible armour, devastating but risky posture attacks, and multiweapon combat. Yasuke is shown arriving in Fukuchiyama while tracking a corrupt samurai Fujioka.
He can be seen carrying his powerful weapon ‘kanabo’ as he uses it to destroy enemies. The combat ends with Yasuke decapitating Fujioka with his katana and a sleek assassination animation.
The gameplay trailer then focuses on Naoe to show off the stealth mechanism. She can go prone and crawl through tall grass, peek around corners, or extinguish lights to hide in the shadows. She can swing and climb using her grappling hook, knock out NPCs, assassinate targets from a distance using her kusarigama, and more. All in all, she knows how to take advantage of her surroundings to complete her objective.
Ubisoft says Assassin’s Creed Shadows will allow players to choose the character they want to control while completing certain missions. So, users can go stealthy or all guns blazing.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows is set to arrive on November 15. It will be available for PC, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PlayStation 5, and even Mac and iPad. The game is already up for pre-orders and can be picked from Standard, Gold, and Ultimate editions.
