Garmi, the latest project from National Award-winning director Tigmanshu Dhulia, is scheduled to premiere on SonyLIV in April, and the first look is now out. Garmi is an upcoming Sony LIV original series that is the story of youth politics set up amidst the backdrop of Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
The digital giant dropped the teaser and wrote “This April, be ready to experience Garmi! Garmi is the story of Arvind Shukla, a young man who moves out of his hometown with aspirations of becoming a civil servant but stumbles into the world of college politics, powerplay and crime.”

When and Where to Watch Garmi
SonyLiv while announcing a slate of its programs for the year 2023, had announced the name of Garmi on its list and it was mentioned that it will be released in April. However, despite dropping a teaser trailer for the show, the digital giant has still not announced the date of the premiere of the show.

In the “Garmi” teaser, a young boy named Arvind Shukla moves from his hometown to another city for college, following the wishes of his family as well as his own aspirations and dreams. Yet he finds that his experience at the institution is quite different.
Arvind, aspiring to be a future government servant, inadvertently enters the complex and dangerous world of college politics, power struggles, and criminality. And it all started with a fight he has with a senior who mistreated him in the hostel canteen. In the long run such college, politics becomes highly risky because police and politicians are involved in it, and Arvind’s brash demeanour may either make him the leader or destroy him. In addition, something bigger is at work that Arvind does not know and is slowly learning about.
With Vyom Yadav, Jatin Goswami, Vineet Kumar, Mukesh Tiwari, Anurag Thakur, Disha Thakur, Puneet Singh, Anushka Kaushik, Dheerendra Gautam, and Pankaj Saraswat among its cast, “Garmi,” is written and directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia.
The screenplay and script for “Garmi” were written by Tigmanshu Dhulia and Kamal Pandey, and Shailesh Awasthi handled the photography. The series’ producers are Hemal Ashok Thakkar and Swaroop Sampat. Playtime Creationn is the production company that created “Garmi.”
The teaser was dropped in the afternoon and within a couple of hours, the show garnered 4167 views on Twitter, and 970k views on YouTube showing the buzz the show has created among the audience.
