The release date for Avatar: The Last Airbender, a live-action adaptation based on the animated Nickelodeon TV series of the same name, has been revealed by Netflix. This is immediately following the highly acclaimed live-action adaptation of the incredibly popular anime series One Piece.

The show chronicled Aang’s quest to master the elements of Fire, Earth, and Water. The anime series quickly rose to the top of the Netflix streaming charts in just four days after the streaming service added all three of The Last Airbender’s seasons (a total of 61 episodes) in 2020. It stayed in the top 10 for sixty days. So, making a live-action version of the show on Netflix seems very reasonable.
