Apple iPhone users may not be able to download Google Pay as the payments app has been temporarily pulled from the Apple App Store. The company has confirmed that Google Pay is unavailable for download as it is fixing an issue. Users who have already installed the app can continue using it. However, some existing iOS users may experience failure in transactions. Google Pay is available for download on the Google Play Store for Android devices.
At the time of writing this, the payments app was not available for download on the Apple App Store. On the Google Play Store, however, the app can be downloaded and installed.
Some Google Pay users who already have the app installed on their iOS devices have been reporting failure in transactions.
A Google spokesperson has acknowledged the issue and said that its payments app has been delisted due to an issue that is being fixed. “A small number of Apple iOS users might experience persistent payment failures on their transactions,” a Google spokesperson told Gadgets360 in a statement. “Our teams are working to fix it at the earliest. Meanwhile, affected users can reach out to Google Pay support through the app for help. We apologise for the inconvenience to our users.”
As stated earlier, Google Pay is currently unavailable for download on the Apple App Store. When you search for Google Pay or Google Pay India, the search result returns with a list of competitor apps like Paytm, PhonePe, etc.
The app continues to be listed in the “Recently Updated” section of the Apple App Store. However, when you tap on it, a window with the message “Cannot Connect to App Store” pops up.
If you have Google Pay installed on your iOS devices, you can continue to use the app to make a transaction. However, some users might experience transaction failures.
