It’s that time of the year again, Google Play Best of 2023 in India has been announced. For the uninitiated, Google announces a list of the best apps and games every year to recognise the best apps and games on Google Play and the developers behind those apps. In its official blog, Google states that the company is celebrating several India-specific ground-breaking apps and Indian developers this year. The list also includes the apps and games innovation trends that emerged in 2023 including AI usage and more. Let’s take a look at the Google Play Best of 2023 winners.
Google Play Best of 2023 Announced: Here Are The Winners
Google has recognised several Indian developers for using AI effectively in their apps. The best app of 2023 is Level SuperMind, which also won the Best for Personal Growth category. Stimuler app designed to help people improve their English speaking skills with AI-powered voice tech and SwiftChat using AI Chatbot to assist students and teachers with personalised learning content in regional languages also got a special mention.
The users’ choice best app of 2023 was THAP: Your Happiness Gym. This app is designed to help improve the mental health and well-being of users by helping users manage their depression, anxiety, and stress. Several other apps by Indian developers got recognised like Infinity Learn in personal growth, NEWME in e-commerce, Pepul, Earth5R, and Autism BASICS in community building, and more.
As for games, Monopoly GO! multiplayer board game was the Google Play Best of 2023 game in India and Subway Surfers Blast was the Users’ Choice Game. Google also recognised the localisation of games for India with Best Made in India category won by Battle Stars: 4v4 TDM & BR featuring Delhi and Mumbai battle arenas.
