Digital Chat Station, a well-known Chinese tipster, revealed that the forthcoming smartphones will be the brand’s first to sport large-capacity RAM. The upcoming X50 GT smartphone was previously listed on a Chinese online retailer website, revealing the device’s key specifications. Some tipsters on Weibo (via) have revealed the chipset and other details of the upcoming Honor GT series smartphones.

The post shared by the tipsters on the Weibo account reveals that Honor will debut the GT series smartphones in China by the end of December. The upcoming Honor 90GT smartphone is tipped to equip Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset built on a 4nm process.

The Qualcomm chipset features one Cortex-X3 core at 3.2GHz, two Cortex-A715 cores at 2.8GHz, two Cortex-A710 cores at 2.8GHz, three Cortex-A510 cores at 2.0GHz and Adreno 740 GPU. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset is an upgrade over the Honor 80 GT smartphone, which sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC.

The upcoming X50 GT is tipped to equip Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, a considerable upgrade over Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset found on the Honor X40 GT smartphone. The tipster reveals that Honor aims to rival Redmi K70 and Redmi K70E smartphones with the upcoming Honor GT series smartphones.

Xiaomi equipped the Redmi K70 and Redmi K70E smartphones with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and MediaTek Dimensity 8300 chipsets. The Redmi K70 series smartphone will debut under Poco monikers in international markets. Digital Chat Station previously revealed that the upcoming Honor X50 GT and Honor 90 GT will be the first to sport 24GB RAM.

Honor will equip the devices with flat display panels. The X50 GT will sport an LCD panelsimilar to its predecessor. The primary rear camera sensors of the upcoming Honor GT series smartphones will support Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS).

The 3C listing of 90 GT smartphones revealed 100W wired charging tech support. Honor will equip the device with an HN-200500C05 charger. The listing also confirms support for 5G connectivity. The smartphone is said to pack a sizeable 5000mAh battery, which can last a full day. Honor will also likely equip the device with a 50MP dual selfie camera.
