Honor X50 GT, Honor 90 GT Smartphones Could Sport 24GB RAM, Debut Soon in China

Honor has started sharing teasers for the launch of the upcoming Honor X50 GT and Honor 90 GT smartphones in China. The upcoming X50 GT smartphone from Honor will be the successor to the Honor X40 GT smartphone launched in October 2022 in China.

Honor recently debuted a special edition of the smartphone under the Honor X40 GT Racking Edition moniker. In contrast, the Honor 90 GT will be the successor to the Honor 80 GT smartphone launched in December 2022 in China. The specifications of the X50 GT smartphone were leaked through the listing in popular Chinese online retailer JD.com. Digital Chat Station, a well-known tipster, has revealed the key specifications of the upcoming Honor smartphones as well.

Honor to Equip Upcoming Smartphones with 24GB RAM

Digital Chat Station divulges through a new post on Weibo that the upcoming Honor smartphones will be the first to debut with 24GB RAM. The forthcoming Honor X50 GT and Honor 90 GT smartphones will be focused on delivering high performance. Most Chinese smartphone brands have debuted smartphones with 24GB RAM.

There are reports that some brands may launch the upcoming flagship smartphones with up to 32GB of RAM. Honor will equip the forthcoming devices with Qualcomm chipsets. The tipster also hints that Honor will debut another smartphone in the GT series lineup. The upcoming Honor 90 GT smartphone will sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC.

The chipset is built on a 4nm process and sports one Cortex-X2 core at 3.2GHz, three Cortex-A710 cores at 2.75GHz, four Cortex-A510 cores at 2.0GHz, and an Adreno 730 GPU. The online listing of the X50 GT smartphone divulged that it will sport the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset that debuted with the Honor X40 GT Racing Edition.

The chipset is built on an older 5nm fabrication process and features one Kryo 680 Prime (Cortex-X1) core at 2.84GHz, three Kryo 680 Gold (Cortex-A78) cores at 2.42GHz, four Kryo 680 Silver (Cortex-A55) cores at 1.8GHz and Adreno 660 GPU. The tipster reveals that the forthcoming Honor smartphones will bring support for Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) for the primary lens.

The upcoming devices are also tipped to be equipped with flat displays. Honor will launch the Honor 90 GT smartphone with OLED panels similar to its predecessors. There are reports that the device will sport a 50MP dual selfie camera.

A large 5000mAh battery with 90W fast charging support may back the device. The X50 GT smartphone might continue to equip LCD panels found on the Honor X40 GT smartphone. The smartphone recently received a Bluetooth SIG listing hinting at an imminent launch.
