Update 1 (March 21st at 10:00 AM): Thanks to a trusted source, we have got hold of some more marketing images that confirm the key features of the upcoming Huawei P30 and P30 Pro smartphones. Just as rumored, the P30 and P30 Pro will run on HiSilicon’s Kirin 980 mobile processor, manufactured on a 7nm process. It may not be the fastest mobile processor around anymore but it still remains extremely powerful and should allow both smartphones to deliver great performance. Apart from the chipset, these new images also confirm the camera hardware of the two phones. The vanilla P30 will come with 5x hybrid zoom, while the bigger P30 Pro will have 10x hybrid zoom.
Oddly enough, the P30 is claimed to feature a “Leica Quad Camera” but we can only see three camera sensors on the back of the phone. The P30 Pro, on the other hand, will have a ToF sensor in addition to the three camera sensors at the rear. Additionally, the images confirm the presence of an in-display fingerprint sensor as well as Huawei SuperCharge fast charging support. However, only the P30 Pro is expected to feature 40W SuperCharge support. The vanilla P30 may only support up to 22.5W fast wired charging.
Just a few days back, we brought to you clear official renders showing the upcoming Huawei P30 and P30 Pro smartphones in Black, Aurora, and Twilight color options. We have now accessed a few more P30 renders as well as exclusive marketing images showing the bigger P30 Pro.
Huawei P30 Renders and P30 Pro Marketing Images
The Huawei P30 renders that we have got our hands on show the upcoming smartphone in Black, Aurora, and Twilight gradient colors. As multiple previously leaked renders of the smartphone have shown, it will come with a flat display featuring a waterdrop-style notch and an In-display fingerprint sensor. On the back of the phone, we find a triple-camera array with an LED flash module below it. The Huawei P30 Pro marketing images, on the other hand, highlight its dual-curved display with an identical waterdrop notch at the top. In addition to a similar triple-camera array found on the vanilla P30, the P30 Pro has an additional ToF (time-of-flight) sensor placed underneath the flash module. One of the images also shows a new Huawei Watch GT version that is set to debut along with the P30 series smartphones in Paris next week.
As the official unveiling of the Huawei P30 series is drawing closer, Huawei has started releasing teaser videos to hype up the launch. One of the teaser videos posted on Weibo highlights the low-light camera performance of the P30 series. The Huawei P20 Pro and Mate 20 Pro still remain two of the best smartphones out there when it comes to low-light photography, so we have very high hopes from the P30 Pro. The company is also teasing the 10x hybrid zoom capability of the P30 Pro, a significant jump compared to the 5x hybrid zoom offered by the P20 Pro and Mate 20 Pro. Apart from the teaser videos, an alleged hands-on video of the vanilla P30 has also surfaced online.
