iQOO 12 Confirmed To Feature Q1 E-sports Chip; RAM And Storage Variant Details Tipped

iQOO is set to launch the iQOO 12 series smartphones such as the iQOO 12 and the iQOO 12 Pro in China on November 7. The company confirmed the launch date of these devices a few days back. Apart from confirming the launch date details, iQOO also has confirmed previously that the upcoming iQOO 12 will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Now, in a recent development, Vivo Band VP & GM has confirmed more details about the iQOO 12. Additionally, tipster Digital Chat Station has shared details about the iQOO 12 series RAM and storage configuration.

iQOO 12 Series Will Have OIS Support

As per the information shared by Jia Jingdong, Vivo Brand VP & GM, the upcoming iQOO 12 will be equipped with a Q1 e-sports chip which will enhance the gaming experience. Furthermore, Jia Jingdong also has confirmed that the iQOO 12 series will feature a 1/1.3-inch primary sensor with OIS support.

The design of the iQOO 12 was revealed earlier courtesy of the promotional images shared by Vivo recently. The teaser revealed that the Vivo X100 will launch in the White and Red colour option. The company is also expected to introduce the iQOO 12 series in a Legendary Edition in collaboration with BMW M Motorsport.

The details shared by the tipster Digital Chat Station reveal that the iQOO 12 series will launch in three RAM and storage configurations. The base model in the series will pack up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, while the other variants will come with 16GB of RAM and 256GB/512GB of internal storage respectively.

As for the imaging purpose, the lineup is expected to feature a triple-camera setup. The previous leak suggests that the iQOO 12 will sport a 50MP primary camera, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 64MP telephoto sensor. The iQOO 12 Pro is also expected to include the same camera configuration, except that instead of a telephoto camera, it could include a pericope sensor.

The iQOO 12 is also confirmed to launch in India as revealed by the teaser shared by iQOO India CEO Nipun Marya. According to the teaser, the iQOO 12 will be the first smartphone to launch in India with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. Though the launch date of the device is yet to be revealed for the Indian market, the past leak suggests that the smartphone will launch in India by the end of November or December.
