The listing on the 3C certification website reveals that the device will have 120W fast charging support, just like its bigger brother Neo 9 Pro. Unfortunately, it doesn’t reveal any other details about iQOO’s upcoming offering.

iQOO Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro Key Specifications (Expected)

According to popular tipster Yogesh Brar, the iQOO Neo 9 Pro will feature a 6.78-inch OLED display. The preceding iQOO Neo 8 Pro smartphone boasted a comparable 6.78-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. However, this time, iQOO plans to enhance the device with a higher 144Hz refresh rate panel, according to Brar’s leak.

Internally, the device is said to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipset, manufactured on a 4nm process. Vivo recently introduced the Vivo X100 series smartphones, featuring the same flagship chipset from MediaTek. It comprises one Cortex-X4 core at 3.25GHz, three Cortex-X4 cores at 2.85GHz, four Cortex-A720 cores at 2.0GHz, and a Mali-G720 Immortalis MP12 GPU.

The smartphone will likely operate on Origin OS 4 based on Android 14 out of the box. Previously, the company restricted the iQOO Neo 8 Pro smartphone to the Chinese market. However, Brar suggests that iQOO may introduce the device to global markets. International units of the device are said to run on Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14 out of the box.

The iQOO Neo 9 is also said to incorporate the Q1 Supercomputing chipset, previously integrated with the flagship iQOO 12 5G smartphone. The Q1 Supercomputing chipset aims to enhance the device’s gaming performance. Additionally, the device will likely feature an in-display fingerprint scanner and an IR blaster. Teasers shared by the brand reveal that the device will sport dual rear cameras.

The tipster suggests that iQOO may use a Samsung sensor to equip Neo 9 with a 50MP Sony IMX 920 camera featuring Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and a secondary 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens.

Teasers shared by iQOO confirm that the device will debut with dual-coloured rear panels. The power button and volume rockers are located on the right, while the top reveals the infrared sensor and secondary noise cancellation mic. On the bottom, one may find the USB Type-C port, speaker grille, primary microphone, and SIM card tray.
