iQOO is gearing up to launch a new edition of the iQOO Neo 9 in China. Now, Digital Chat Station, a well-known tipster on Weibo, has tipped the key specifications of the alleged iQOO Neo 9 Racing Edition smartphone. The Vivo-owned brand recently launched the vanilla iQOO Neo 9 smartphone in India.
iQOO Neo 9 Racing Edition: Expected Specifications
The tipster has shared the specifications of the upcoming device without mentioning the moniker of the device. IThome suggests that the device could be a new variant of the Neo 9 series smartphones. To recall, iQOO launched the Racing Edition for the Neo 7 and Neo 8 series smartphones in China.
The iQOO Neo 9 Racing Edition is said to sport a 6.78-inch OLED panel with LPTO technology. The OLED panel will support 1.5K resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and 2160Hz PWM dimming. The inclusion of the latest 8T LTPO tech will help the device consume less power, thereby enhancing its battery life.
The forthcoming Neo 9 Pro Racing Edition will be powered by an upcoming Qualcomm chipset with the SM8635 codename. The chipset is said to debut under the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 moniker and is also expected to power the Realme GT Neo 6 smartphone.
The Geekbench listing of the alleged GT Neo 6 smartphone confirms that the octa-core chipset will sport a 1+3+4 configuration. The database adds that the chipset has a peak clock speed of 3.01GHz and will pair with the Adreno 735 GPU.
DCS further reveals that the upcoming iQOO Neo 9 Racing Edition will feature a dual rear camera setup comprising a 50MP Sony IMX920 primary sensor. The sensor is also likely to be paired with an 8MP ultrawide camera found on the vanilla Neo 9 smartphone. It is said the iQOO Neo 9 Racing Edition will be launched in April.
