iQOO Z1 With MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC and 8GB RAM Spotted on Geekbench Ahead of May 19 Launch

Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO is gearing up for the launch of the iQOO Z1 smartphone on May 19, 2020, in China. The iQOO Z1 will be powered by the new MediaTek Dimensity 1000 Plus processor and will come with a 144Hz refresh rate display. While there are still a couple of days left for the device to be unveiled, we have spotted it on the Geekbench database website, which confirms some of its specifications and features. Take a look at the Geekbench listing of the iQOO Z1 5G smartphone and find out what it has in store for us.

As seen in the Geekbench database image, the iQOO Z1 (with the model number Vivo V1986A) has managed to score 786 in the single-core test and 3,075 in the multi-core test. Geekbench 5.1.1 has been used for testing, for reference. Furthermore, the Geekbench listing confirms that the iQOO Z1 will be equipped with a 2.00GHZ octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1000 Plus processor, which will be clubbed with 8GB of RAM. There will likely be more RAM variants of the device. Plus, the listing confirms that the iQOO Z1 will boot the latest Android 10 OS out of the box, which will be coated with the company’s in-house iQOO UI on top.

As far as the rest of the specifications of the device are concerned, the iQOO Z1 is confirmed to sport a 144Hz refresh rate display. Judging by the promotional posters for the device, we have reason to believe that the device will flaunt an IPS LCD panel, as it has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Plus, the iQOO Z1 will boast a 4,500mAh battery with support for up to 44W fast charging. Lastly, the iQOO Z1 will come with a single-punch hole cutout for the selfie snapper, which will be located in the top right corner of the device’s display.

For now, this is all the intel that we have surrounding the upcoming iQOO Z1 5G smartphone, but since the launch date is only 2 days from now, we won’t have to wait for too long to know each and everything about the device.
