Roughly translated into Leader of Rebellion, Kalagathalaivan is a Tamil action-thriller and the directorial venture of Magizh Thirumeni, who also happens to be the writer. Udhayanidhi Stalin produced the movie under the banner of Red Giant Movies. The music has been scored by Srikanth Deva and Arrol Corelli, with K Dhillraj handling the cinematography with editing done by NB Srikanth. This movie was shot mostly in Chennai and was released in theatres on 18th November 2022, opening to positive reviews from critics and becoming a commercial success.

Kalagathalaivan Cast and Crew
The movie has an ensemble cast of highly accomplished actors. The cast includes Nidhhi Agerwal, Arav, Anupama Kumar, Kalaiyarasan, Jeeva Ravi, Angana Roy, Udhayanidhi Stalin, R.J. Vigneshkanth. Magizh Thirumeni is the director and writer of this movie, while Udhayanidhi Stalin, under the banner of Red Giant Movies, is the producer.
The story follows Thirumaaran, who works in a heavy vehicles manufacturing company. His firm launched a truck that is supposed to have the highest mileage in the world. Thanks to this, stock prices rise high, and the company makes profits in the share market. The chairman soon learns that the trucks in question are bad pollutants but decides to keep this under wraps, away from the employees and the board members.
However, the reality soon tumbles out, angering the chairman and the whole firm. Enter Arjun, a private investigator and assassin who happens to be ex-army, to track down the person who leaked this information. His methods are violent, and he finds a bunch of employees working against the firm. He suspects Thiru to be the whistleblower. The plot is a cat-and-mouse chase between Arjun and Thiru, with the latter trying to track down and safeguard the real whistleblower.
