At its yearly Tech World 2021 event yesterday, Lenovo introduced a whole host of new premium laptops that will be ready for Windows 11, along with some other devices. These include a new device in Lenovo’s Yoga series, including a new version of the company’s popular and legendary Carbon line. It also showcased new tablets under its P series, and a new pair of wireless earbuds, which look quite different from its earlier offerings. Lenovo Tech World is the company’s yearly launch event, which is when it announces some of its biggest products for the year.

Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Carbon

Starting at the top, the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Carbon has a 14-inch QHD + display with 2880×1800 pixel resolution and 90 Hz refresh rate. It can go up to 400 nits brightness and supports 100% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut, along with Dolby Vision HDR playback. It also has 16GB Dual Channel LPDDR4x RAM and up to 1TB SSD PCIe M.22 storage.

The Yoga Slim 7 Carbon is powered by a 61 WHr battery, which the company claims will offer up to 14 hours of battery life. You will get AMD’s Ryzen 7 5800U Series Mobile Processors on the device, though the graphics chips come from both AMD and Nvidia. You can choose between AMD’s Radeon Graphics and Nvidia’s GeForce MX450 GPUs.

The 14-inch variant of the device is priced at $1289.99 (approx. Rs. 95,000) in the US right now and it doesn’t have an India launch date or price yet.

Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Pro

On the other hand, the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Pro will have AMD’s Ryzen 5800H Mobile Processors and Nvidia’s RTX 3050 discrete graphics chips. The device will also have up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of SSD PCIe M.22 storage. It will also be ready for Windows 11, which is set to rollout to devices on October 5 this year.

Lenovo says that the 75 WHr battery on this device will run it for 12.5 hours on each charge, and like the Carbon, the Slim 7 Pro also has Dolby Atmos Speaker support.

The Slim 7 Pro weighs 2.1 kg and has a 16 inch QHD display with 500 nits brightness and 100% sRGB support. The refresh rate is higher on this one, at 120Hz, and the device will start at $1449 (approx Rs. 1,10,000) in the US.

Lenovo IdeaPad Duet 5 Chromebook

Further, Lenovo also announced the IdeaPad Duet 5 Chromebook, which weighs 700 grams and is 7.24 mm thick. It has a 13.3 inch FHD OLED display and has up to 400 nits brightness with support for 100% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. It runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7c Gen 2 Computer Platform and has 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB eMMC SSD2 storage.

The Snapdragon chip also runs on a smaller battery, which is perhaps why the Duet 5 has a 42 WHr battery. It is priced at $429.99 in the US.

Lenovo Tab P12 Pro and Tab P11 5G

Laptops and Chromebooks aside, the company announced two new tablets at the Lenovo Tech World. The first is the Lenovo Tab P12 Pro, which has a 12.6 inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 2K resolution. The second is the Lenovo Tab P11 5G, which has an 11 inch IPS display with 2K resolution.

The Lenovo Tab P12 Pro runs on the Snapdragon 870 chipset, while the Tab P11 5G has the Snapdragon 750 5G chip. Both the devices have 8GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of internal storage, with Android 11 running out of the box. They are priced at 899 and 499 euros, respectively.

Lenovo Smart Wireless Earbuds

You may not know it, but this isn’t the first time Lenovo has launched true wireless earbuds. The new Lenovo Smart Wireless Earbuds have an 11mm dynamic driver and three microphones on each bud, with support for active noise cancellation (ANC) technology. They will support touch controls and have IPX4 certification for sweat and water resistance.
