Back in December, Lenovo had revealed its plans to launch a gaming-centric smartphone under the brand’s gaming-oriented lineup of products, Legion. And this upcoming smartphone could simply be called the Lenovo Legion Phone. So far, Lenovo has revealed that the Legion gaming smartphone will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC along with 5G connectivity and a 55W fast charging support. Today, however, the brand has released a new poster for the smartphone, which reveals that the Legion will have a staggering, 90W fast charging support, rather than 55W fast charging support as the brand had revealed earlier.

Lenovo Legion Gaming Smartphone Will Feature 90W Fast Charging Support

Currently, the Oppo Reno Ace has the highest charging wattage in any smartphone across the globe. It supports up to 65 watts of power. And as far as we know, there isn’t any smartphone underworks that has a charging wattage higher than 65 watts. Well, except for the Lenovo Legion, which, we now know, will support charging wattage up to 90 watts. With 90W charging on board, the Lenovo Legion could take the crown from Oppo Reno Ace for the smartphone with the highest charging wattage.

On a similar note, the brand had shared a post through Legion’s official page on Weibo a couple of weeks ago advising people not to buy any smartphone that doesn’t have USB Power Delivery 3.0 charging protocol, which suggests that the Lenovo Legion will support fast charging through USB PD 3.0 protocol. This means that people will not need to have a special charger to charge the Legion at 90W speeds, they can just plug in a USB PD 3.0 charger to enjoy 90W charging speed on the Legion.

Leaks and rumors so far suggest that the Lenovo Legion will have a high refresh rate display, a triple camera setup at the rear, a 5000mAh battery, stereo speakers, physical gaming triggers, and USB Type-C port. Going by these specs, the Lenovo Legion seems to have everything to make it one of the best gaming smartphones in the industry. All we need to know now is when will the Lenovo Legion make its debut.
